Re: The You Game!
Honestly, < never quite realized how monotonous <'s voice sounded until recently. My God how do people even talk to <, not only does < have poor social skills but < sounds like a depressed robot as well. Yet another characteristic < has in common with Daria, on the upside.
Re: The You Game!
< says that < also had bad voice when younger.
< thinks < sounds better now and while < never heared ^'s voice, < hopes ^'s voice will change on better.

Re: The You Game!
Amusingly, in the past, < had always very much compared <'s self to and empathised strongly with Jane, and in many respects was always hoping that < would come across <'s very own Daria. <'s voice used to be extraordinarily monotonous as well, but in recent years this has changed dramatically, mainly after < had taken an interest in singing and what the voice is capable of in general, which naturally taught < to make the most of <'s vocal range, and < now has a very dynamic speaking voice. While < is definitely not the same person < used to be, < still feels that were these characters real, < would get along very well with them.Dark Lum Lord wrote:Honestly, < never quite realized how monotonous <'s voice sounded until recently. Mm... < does often miss that sense of emotional mystery so hugely 'there'. Either that, or these events have manifested themselves in <'s memory in a different fashion than how < actually experienced them, and < was born to wallow in and take emotional inspiration from these memories.
It's kind of funny, we always look ahead to better times, yet once we achieve these better times, we pine for something more, and always look back at years past and ogle at their majesty. Then, only years after the fact, do we feel we've actually experienced and reached these 'better times' we envisioned so many years before the fact. Stupid mental satisfaction, < wants nothing more than to be able to experience, in the present moment, the kind of mystery < always remembers experiencing.
< apologises for the tangent, it's just with Daria being the most influential and relatable series < has ever watched, it always gets < thinking.

Re: The You Game!
<'s natural speaking voice is very odd in context. < is 100% Irish, and has hardly spoken to any American people, yet < has developed a natural speaking voice that many tend to describe as "very American". < is also quite skinny, yet <'s natural speaking is quite deep in tone.
< tends to speak in a variety of different voices when conversing with friends, though, as < loves to voice act, and others seem to enjoy it anyway. < also transitions into different voices absent minded-ly on occasion.

Re: The You Game!
When < starts doing Let's Plays, there will be commentary to go along with them, so then would be the best time.
< does have a Homestuck voice acting video from over a year ago where < sounds American, but < doesn't really like it and < is not using <'s natural speaking voice in it anyway.
<'s personal opinion is that < just has a very neutral, accent-less voice with the occasional hint of a Dublin accent slipping in the odd time.

Re: The You Game!
^ always came off as more of a Daria individual to <, but ^ can see why ^ believes ^ is more akin to Jane, as ^ has Jane's artiste aspect. < personally feels like Daria, however of a lesser intelligent and snarky degree. For <'s entire life, < has been searching for that platonic soul mate; in other words my Daria/Jane. And for awhile, < possibly did have that one individual, but they transferred to a different school last school year and since then < has felt extremely lonely without a very close friend.Adsolution wrote:Amusingly, in the past, < had always very much compared <'s self to and empathised strongly with Jane, and in many respects was always hoping that < would come across <'s very own Daria. <'s voice used to be extraordinarily monotonous as well, but in recent years this has changed dramatically, mainly after < had taken an interest in singing and what the voice is capable of in general, which naturally taught < to make the most of <'s vocal range, and < now has a very dynamic speaking voice. As for <'s voice, < isn't sure if it's always been monotonous, but <'s convinced that it hasn't. But < has learned to accept it on account that it's just <'s voice as well as on the grounds that < can make anything sound hilariously sarcastic. < did an anti-bullying video for school once and everyone loved it due to <'s performance in it. But <'s still convinced that they were laughing at me, not with me. It's funny, how the human mind works. Or at least, how <'s does.
And lastly, commenting on what ^ was speaking of during the end of that comment, <'d like to mention that < believes that is simply in our nature. The purpose of a creature's life is to attempt to live and hopefully thrive until they die of old age or something along the lines; < believes it is in our nature as a species to yearn for more.

Would it be alright if < were informed on the Kurui thing as well, depending on what it is? < only asks because < spoke to her for as long as a year after she took her leave from this place.

< will not be saying too much though, out of common respect for others and their privacy, and because < is not fully informed on the subject to begin with, though < did witness some things about her life that raised eyebrows and were quite concerning.
