If this makes you happy and feel lucky, I'm looking for a buyer for my North American copy of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos for PC in mint state. We can discuss more about this through PM if you like. ;)

Hm, this is an interesting discovery indeed, so this is essentially one of the progenitors of Mario 64 in way?

According to a trustworthy source, it does not match with lots of things, so it is a fake.

Alright then, thanks for confirming it. I wont even dare to question you when it is something Croc related since you know about Croc more than any other user here :P

Well, my knowledge is very primitive compared to someone I know that even had the priviledge to visit the Argonaut studios during the development of Croc 2.

The only thing I know about the Dreamcast version is that it was planned but got canceled. I don't know if it was already in development or not. It is a shame though since the console had capacity to work as great as the PC version (or even better).

I remember seeing screenshot somewhere once where they claimed it was from DC version. I will try to find it again.

The first thing fans should do is make brand new Croc forums since both Croc Hero of the Gobbos and Croc Fandom of The Fans (I think that was its name) forums are gone now. I will repeat my quote from other topic when I talked about closure of Croc Hero of the Gobbos:
OldClassicGamer wrote:I am very sad too. Maybe there were no new games but it would always be nice to have one place where Croc fans can talk with eachother, maybe show fanarts, talk about fanfics and headcanons, ideas, General Croc 1 and Croc 2 discussion, Cancelled Croc 3 abd mobile games talk, and maybe even trade or sellinf of Croc merchandise.
One day I hope someone makes Croc forum site where Croc fans can enjoy too.
Croc Forever!
Before any professional looking Croc fangame, fans need to unite and create forums. I would like to create my own Croc forums but I have no skill to make it look professional.

I don't know, Fifo managed to make a forum that doesn't look all that half bad. RPC began almost 11 years ago, when Humch was probably a teen. I think some research might be best to assess how difficult such an undertaking would actually be.

I also don't have money to pay for servers of forums. There are far better people who would do Croc forums much more justice than me anyways :P

The real problem is that the IP is being held by the Argonaut Software original owner and from what I learnt a good while ago, he is not interested in giving a use to the franchise in future. I don't know if it is in long-term or forever though. At least the games had a good ending in terms of plot. I think if the games were continued now by different identities, I fear the series could go just like Crash and Spyro: to worse.

Some people think that ZeniMax Media owns the rights but that is actually incorrect. A friend of mine who is a vice president of video game company contacted Jez about Croc and Jez is pretty much the one who owns IP. The reason why he kept the rights to series is probably because of nostalgia, but he indeed did move on and has no plans for future. I think he will be owner forever owner unless he decide to sell rights but I think that will never happen.

Hmm, Zenimax, aren't they the lot who own the Elder Scrolls franchise?

They were developers but Bethesda Softworks owns Elder Scrolls.

Bethesda Game Studios are the devs, Bethesda Softworks the publisher, and Zenimax the owner, if memory serves.
