Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
It could be both like Picture City and Gotham. Like how New York has skyscrapers AND convenient little shops and shows on just about every corner.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Hm, that sounds interesting, though part of me is trying to imagine a Rayman silhouette like the one in the Batman:TAS intro.

I'd imagine those little shops be giant erasers or little tents.MisterDark'sFanClub wrote:It could be both like Picture City and Gotham. Like how New York has skyscrapers AND convenient little shops and shows on just about every corner.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Okay, I'm just gonna lay out the worlds I came up with for a Rayman game idea I've had.
The first is Plum Jungle, which is similar to both the Dream Forest and the Jibberish Jungle, but with swinging plums being a main feature. The world would have Rayman going down into a fungus filled cave, similar to the one from the early Origins trailer, and end up going deeper into an overgrown cave, and end with fight a giant carnivorous plant.
The second world is Wakatikiliki Island, a tropical island covered in Tiki statues, and would have Rayman go from the beach, to the jungle, to a temple, and finally end with him climbing a volcano to fight an evil volcano god.
The third world is the lost city of Clamtis, which is the water world. It would have you fight an army of evil aquatic creatures led by a giant squid monster. In order to get to the squid's lair, Rayman would have to go to the abyss. The boss fight would have you swim away from the squid, until you find a small island to fight him on.
The fourth world, Artropolis, focuses on the "City" part of Picture City, and would have a few levels where you traverse the city streets and rooftops while using paintings to teleport from place to place. Some levels would have you going through the art themed wilds, and ends with a cave level where you have to fight an evil art monster.
World five is currently my least developed world. Rhythm Mountain is a mix between Band Land and the Blue Mountains from Rayman 1. The only thing I really know for sure is that the boss would be a tag team fight with Mr. Sax and Mr. Stone. Ideas would be appreciated.
World six, The Desert of Skopenhotep, is the desert world, and has you traveling the desert, the pyramids, shantytown roofs, and a lava filled temple. The boss fight would have you going up against Skops in his giant palace.
World seven is one of my favorites, it's a space world, but with planets made out of candy. Each level would have a candy themed gimmick, like sticky caramel planets, or bouncy gummy planets. The boss fight would be with a giant space alien, who has emerged from a black hole.
World eight is my favorite one. It's a ghost infested swamp, which sounds simple, but this allowed me to add a bunch of references to the other Rayman games. One level has you riding Ssssam, while another has you giving brews to Eig so you can get past. It would also have The Cave of Bad Dreams and The Land of the Livid Dead in it.
World nine is Moody Landing, which is made up of the crashed Moody Clouds. The world would feature mechanical versions of the Lividstones, Psychlops, and Hunters, and would end with an actual real fight with The Magician.
World ten is the Toy Factory, an eerie abandoned factory filled with malicious toys that want to kill you. Each level has a toy theme, like a racing track with toy cars trying to run you over, or towers of blocks you would have to knock down. The boss would be a giant sized toy robot you would have to climb to beat.
World eleven is The Belly of the Beast, based on the organic cave concept art. Instead of a cave with fleshy bits, this world takes place in an actually giant monster, with the levels being based on parts of the body. One level would have half digested food, while another would have you breaking through bones to traverse through the level.
Finally, world twelve is the Peaceful Clouds, which is another world filled with references, as the main enemies would be the Robo-Pirates. I don't have much on it yet, but the boss would be against either Razorbeard's father, or his superior officer.
There are seven other worlds, but I won't share them because this is long enough already.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Those are pretty good, Bio. You have my interest.
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Wow, Bionichute! Those are some cool ideas! I like the idea of Rhythm Mountain, sort of like a merging area between Band Land and the Blue Mountains.
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
My favorite seems to be Moody Landing. I like the idea of exploring the wreckage of the Magician's ruined empire.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Ooh, that reminds me, I've always wanted it so that if Razorbeard did return in a future Rayman game, you'd fight him in the remains of the original Buccaneer.

Yeah! And the remains of the Buccaneer are jutting out of the water, and you have to defeat the boss before the remains sink!
Btw, Bionichute, epic.ideas! Hey, what if you fought the art monster in a large, dark, abandoned room or section of an art museum?

Basically the fight with the Art Monster takes place on a big slab of rock in the middle of a paint lake, and when you beat his first phase he falls in and turns into a bigger monster.MisterDark'sFanClub wrote:Yeah! maybe I should make a thread for this idea, give it a bit more expanding on the forums.

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
I remember theorising a few years ago that the Hoodlums built Céloche out of the ruins of the Robo-Pirates' ships because his eyes are identical to their windows.
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
The Toads could have built it too.

Bionichute, you said you had seven other worlds, right? Would you share those with us too please?
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Eh, I see the underwater bases as newly built. But hey, maybe he recycled some of the metal.TheTempurmental wrote:That was what I perceived "20,000 Lums Under the Sea" was.Bradandez wrote:My favorite seems to be Moody Landing. I think sailing on a old pirate airship to save the worlds from the other gods and meeting Joe's family or going to a Busy city or Hylia would be a great idea! think Mario Galaxy 2 with a kick to it!

Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
I'm making a big post in the fan works section that will detail pretty much everything in the game, including those 7 other worlds, so look out for it.MisterDark'sFanClub wrote:Bionichute, you said you had seven other worlds, right? Would you share those with us too please?
Re: Ideas for Rayman Worlds
Hm, has someone already suggested a 'polluted' world? Like, a world with trash, sludge and toxic waste everywhere? It would be mostly grey and brown, with a dark sky and perhaps some smog-producing buildings in the background, and bright green pools of toxic waste to avoid. And the enemies could be weird mutants and all the friends Rayman meets there would be sick.
Okay, so that's actually pretty dark/morbid in some aspects, but would maybe make for a darker/sadder story element, since there's no way this sort of thing would would be made by the Glade's inhabitants, but perhaps maybe by an outside force.
