Well, that's over 20 years away for me, probably more so for some other members, we have no idea what will and won't be then, and if Rayman will still exist.
I'd think I'd always hold a cherished spot for the series, even if it does die, as it holds many good memories and prominence to me.

Anyway, Rayman will not die if there is some fans like Adsolution to make some Raygames. So i think Rayman will be invincible.

I think i'll look back and say, "Man, I was just like him when I was a kid!"
Re: At 40 years old, what will you think about Rayman ?(theo
For me, it'll probably just be another embarrassing 'phase' I went through. :/

I think that when you're forty, you won't be embarrassed by it.THEdragon wrote:For me, it'll probably just be another embarrassing 'phase' I went through. :/

by forty I may be so different that Rayman is nothing more than a memory
Re: At 40 years old, what will you think about Rayman ?(theo
Since I will be gaming until the last day of my life, I will think the same. If sequels wont be made, I would be a bit disappointed. People who stop gaming when they get older with some excuse that it's just a kids stuff lose all of my respect.
Re: At 40 years old, what will you think about Rayman ?(theo
Well, if that's the case then it'll probably just be a memory of one of the many phases I went through. I can only hope that by then I've stopped with my phases and maladaptive daydreaming.Adsolution wrote:I think that when you're forty, you won't be embarrassed by it.THEdragon wrote:For me, it'll probably just be another embarrassing 'phase' I went through. :/

You don't want to like Rayman forever and just want to accept him as one of the phases?THEdragon wrote:Well, if that's the case then it'll probably just be a memory of one of the many phases I went through. No disrespect to how you look at the things, but I don't really understand your view on it.
Re: At 40 years old, what will you think about Rayman ?(theo
Believe me, I'll never 'dislike' Rayman, but I think it's sort of inevitable that my Rayman phase will be just like all my other obsessive phases, and when it's over it'll just be a thing I remember being wildly obsessed with. I used to think otherwise with my phases, like "Oh I'll love this forever", but now I've kinda worked out how it works. I've still yet to work out how to stop this whole 'phase; thing from happening, though.
Like, for example, Gorillaz, Homestar Runner and Daft Punk, the third of the three being a very recent one. I still enjoy all those, but now I don't think of them unless I come across them, and I'm not really bothered by what goes on with them.

The same thing I think of Rayman now. I'll simply have other responsibilities, but I'd simply pass this down to my children, knowing that it is an awesome experience.
Videogames are not a phase. You just excuse it as a 'phase' so you can feel 'normal' in society since society tells you videogames are for kids, as society tells you women should be feminine and men should 'man up'.
Hopefully you grow up and realize to just do what you want and not conform to society, but sometimes you have to.

No no, that's not what I'm doing at all. These 'phases' are really obsessive things I've been slipping in and out of since I was very young. I don't give a crap what society tells me about videogames, my phases are are a thing that seem to happen unexpectedly with anything that mildly interests me as a possible trigger.
Re: At 40 years old, what will you think about Rayman ?(theo
Oh ok then, I didn't understand what you meant first time.
Re: At 40 years old, what will you think about Rayman ?(theo
That's understandable. I don't think I did a very good job explaining it.

I think that at the very least, Rayman will be very fond to us till we are 40, but depending on our future career we may find ourselves very, very busy. as an example I want to try dabbling in voice acting, but it requires lots of time and energy.
considering how the Limbless Wonder has been our lives this long I doubt he will be dieing out for at least the next 10 yearsIf sequels wont be made, I would be a bit disappointed.

Well, the only character that will make games until the planet earth exists is Mario. All others could sadly stop making games anytime due to not being popular like Mario.

Just for note, the planet Earth already exists, though we have yet to work out the notion of intergalactic patenting.OldClassicGamer wrote:Well, the only character that will make games until the planet earth exists is Mario.
