I completely agree, and I actually would go as far as to say that I kind enjoyed the Transformers movies, mostly because the action scenes I found to be quite awesome, and I actually really liked Pain & Gain. However, the comment was basically referring to how almost all of his films have both good animation (CGI) and good acting (for what they are), but pretty much nothing else, and as such, I don't really think this has them "falling nicely into place".
