I just want to respond to this one because it's interesting:

I'd rather be able to fly, since it can be a more useful form of travel, and while we can already breathe for a limited time underwater (or a very long time with the aid of a SCUBA tank), we certainly can't fly for a limited time, or at all, nor with the aid of any kind of personal equipment. Also, the skies are something we generally don't see a lot of in comparison to the ocean; it's a beautiful place the sky is.


Would you rather spend the extra money to get an electric car (keeping in mind the convenience set-backs such as their shorter-than-a-tank-of-gas battery life, and scarcer charging stations), or settle with a regular gas car?

I was kind of hoping for a response coming from the standpoint of someone who does/will drive, or at least hypothesise about it, because otherwise it just kind of ruins the purpose of the question.

To have the ability to turn invisible? Hm, I'd probably opt for that one, as reading minds I honestly don't think would come in as useful as being able to turn invisible. Also, whenever I think of the ability to mind-read, I think of that tragic scene in Superman Returns where Superman sees it more as a curse because it completely sucks out all the joy and mystery from life and instead provides you with heavy moral responsibility.

Claws, as they would be most naturally suited to me in a combat situation, and I can think of so many useful things for them. That, and if I really needed to go full survivor instinct, humans can already bite off each others skin and bite off each others fingers as is. Biting off and chewing a finger takes as much effort for us as eating a carrot. And I have overcrowded teeth, so my set of teeth are even stronger than the average human's.

I already had the answer to Adsolution's last question typed up before the above question was posted, so I'll leave it here:

Blind, as I can still appreciate visual beauty in my head. It may not be practical, but I would rather keep my hearing, especially since it's superbly useful anyway, and without it, there would be a lot of important things I would have missed out on. When it's so dark to a point where I can't see a thing at all, I'm able to use my hearing and touch to navigate. And as far moving around in public, I'd just get a guide dog, and I'm a dog lover anyway. Depending on how bad the blindness is, I may not be able to play video games very much, but I'd be willing to sacrifice it. Besides, I know blind people who can still play video games and enjoy other visual things pretty well, even if in some cases, it requires help. Losing my hearing would also mean I can't practice voice acting as easily, and it's a much easier thing to practice than video games design. So career-wise, I'd probably be pushed into voice acting, which isn't too bad at all to me.

Would you rather find the perfect lover and spend the rest of your life with them with a modest career, income rate, and lifestyle - or would you rather achieve extravagant success in your career of choice and be devoid of true romantic experiences for the rest of your life, as your career demands so much of you, meaning you might not have any time for romance, nor will you be particularly appealing to possible love interests, as they will see you won't have time for them?

Interesting question. Since I believe the ultimate goal in life is to achieve satisfaction and happiness, then it depends what gives you happiness. While I can't deny my possible interest in a long-lasting romantic relationship, I strive for extravagant success, achievement and fame. I suppose that as long as these possible love interests don't see my choice as a negative thing, rather, as something to sympathise with or feel neutral toward, implying simply a lack of possible continuity in the romantic field as opposed to personal disdain in any way, then that would be my decision.

I'm honestly too tired to think of a question, so either someone else ask one or someone else give a second answer to sonicbrawler's and ask the next question.

Considering that the Year of Luigi will likely end this year (it hasn't actually ended yet, as it didn't start at the very beginning of 2013), what Mario character do you think deserves their own year next (assuming we would even get another "Year of" from Nintendo) - Bowser or Rosalina?

As a bonus question (in case you don't particularly care for the previous characters, or the Mario franchise), what character would you like to see Nintendo do a "Year of" that ISN'T part of the Mario franchise (e.g. Year of Zelda, Year of Dedede, Year of Captain Falcon)?

This thread. By your logic, this topic shouldn't exist, as this topic is basically the same thing as the This or That thread, except the This or That thread is meant for short, snappy stuff (e.g. "Lettuce or Cabbage?"). The only way this topic is even justifiable without seeming redundant, is if we use it for the same thing, only with more detailed questions and answers, that may sometimes require some elaboration. Such was the case with my question. Also, This or That seems better for things that are obviously comparable, such as comparing two villains, due to the topic's name. This doesn't work with Bowser and Rosalina (keeping in mind I wasn't asking what people's favourite character of the two was), who have completely different purposes in the Mario franchise, and can't really be compared. "This or That" also implies that there should only be two items in question, where as I went on to have a little bonus question.

Also, even if my question is short and snappy, people may still want to give an answer with some elaboration. A prime example being my answer to the "Claws or Fangs?" question. You're not really supposed to do this in the "This or That" topic, from my experience.
