I know this sounds like a silly question Spiral, but when you launch the game after selecting Bin file in Mooby, do you click on File, run ISO or run CD?spiraldoor wrote:I was just wondering if anyone had run into the same problem. Never mind, I'm sure I'll figure it out sooner or later.
You should click on run CD. just checking because I had a same problem like you because I was running the game from run ISO option once by accident

Re: Rayman 1
Run CD of course. Like I said, I've played it perfectly many times on my previous computer.
Re: Rayman 1
I know it might sound silly but I could perhaps zip my emulator folder with the ROM and send a link for you to test.
Re: Rayman 1
Your PS2 Emulator worked with Rayman Revolution glitch where Rayman was falling through floor
Re: Rayman 1
This. Don't forget to put the CDDA volume in the Mooby CD plugin high enough. I've read it's at 0 by default, which isn't very good.technology4617 wrote:Did you turn the CD volume up in Mooby2?
It also might not properly save the changes unless you're running ePSXe as administrator, too (but I'm really not sure as I haven't used ePSXe in years).
Re: Rayman 1
I've finally got around to getting all the Electoon cages in Pencil Pentathlon! That's one horribly hard level set I won't have to touch again in my quest.....(Yes, I know I still have Eat at bloody Joes, don't remind me ;D)
Considering I've known and been a fan of Rayman 1 since I was 5 years old, I think I deserve a suck time when I finally complete it

Re: Rayman 1
Congratulations! Pencil Penthatlon was the level where I remember to get the last cage in my first walkthrough of the game when I was 11.
But the worse is yet to come.

Space Mama's was bad enough as is, but going Electoon hunting? Bloody hell.

Hm, the cage locations are fairly easy for me to memorize, but that could possibly be because I've played the game so much.

Eat At Joe's is not hard at all.Electoon wrote:I've finally got around to getting all the Electoon cages in Pencil Pentathlon! That's one horribly hard level set I won't have to touch again in my quest.....(Yes, I know I still have Eat at bloody Joes, don't remind me ;D)

Eat at Joe's is easily the hardest level in the entire fuckin' game.

Re: Rayman 1
The PS1 version has easier locations to find the cages then the PC one. Ugh, that is why I play the PS1 version a lot more than the PC one.

Aside from the fact that the PlayStation version is infinitely superior anyway?Rayman502 wrote:The PS1 version has easier locations to find the cages then the PC one. Ugh, that is why I play the PS1 version a lot more than the PC one.

Indeed, having grown up with the PC version, it was a fucking nightmare, that's why my first attempt at the PS1 version wasn't as hard as I remembered.Rayman502 wrote:The PS1 version has easier locations to find the cages then the PC one. Look at this total BS.
Ironically, the video calls itself the "Lens of Truth."
Also, if anyone's interested, some other members and I are doing a Twitch stream of Rayman for the Atari Jaguar this Saturday.

What's the problem with that video exactly? It's not particularly well-done and I have no idea why there's a quality difference between the two, but nothing about it seems like bullshit.

You just nailed both of them.Adsolution wrote:What's the problem with that video exactly? It's not particularly well-done and I have no idea why there's a quality difference between the two, but nothing about it seems like bullshit.
The whole point of a graphics comparison video is to be able to easily compare subtle differences between the two versions without any sort of quality hindrances on either of them, and since it does not follow this basic rule, the video is either incredibly biased or is simply a terrible comparison video that shouldn't even be in existence at all, as all it does is mislead its viewers.
Look at all the people in the comments section who have been fooled into thinking that the Jaguar version has better graphics. The video is worthless and should be taken down.

Re: Rayman 1
Amusingly, I actually like the Jaguar's graphics the best out of all the versions.
