Re: Rayman Legends
Hmm, I'm sceptical that a Collector's Edition of Legends will occur, but the main product is still pretty nice indeed, don't be put off just because you'd rather have some fanciful iteration.

Re: Rayman Legends
Thanks but I think you misread my post, I was actually asking if there'd be anything new other than these skins.OldClassicGamer wrote:On Xbox One - Splinter Ray, Ray Vaas and Globox Vaas and Assassins Ray on PS4

Re: Rayman Legends
Globox is the definition of insanity.
Re: Rayman Legends
@Hunch There's nothing much else concerning Rayman Legends. The only recent novelty despite of the new ports, is that Rayman Fiesta Run had a Christmas update with an unlockable Santa Ray and a Xmas-themed menu.

Re: Rayman Legends
Thanks! I see no article for that character on the wiki, hope someone can take care of it!Haruka wrote:@Hunch There's nothing much else concerning Rayman Legends. Re: Rayman Legends
Just came online after 10000 years and stalking this forum everyday to tell, there, is, more, then, one, Rayperson. Look at the hidden story in the psvita version, Rayman has a girlfriend....

Re: Rayman Legends
The eventual point of that discussion was how the plot point of Rayman being the only Rayperson has been contradicted constantly, heck, the whole relic is just another contradiction added to the mix, seeing as the original Origins made it a point that the limblessness of Rayman came solely from the nature of his birth, all other costumes for Rayman in Origins were either clones or Rayman himself in other clothing. Like I said earlier, Ubi have retconned that point in and out enough times, I believe we ended that discussion applauding Ubi for their lack of continuity in the Rayverse.
With that in mind, I'm pretty sure most people here are aware of that plot point (which I personally loathe), so why the condescension?

Re: Rayman Legends
Globox isn't armless or...well, not really neckless. The Electoons and the Stone Men again, were part of the same discussion, however, looking back at the same discussion, the point was more about the species of Rayman, so my mistake in using the limblessness as a point, instead of Raymanian/thingamajig or whatever people call Rayman's species.
Electoons seem to be more of a physical manifestation of one the things that keep the world together, the Stone Men don't seem to have the same organic nature, so one could attribute that more to the nature of having sentient rocks.
Heh, but regardless of my defending nature, the overall point is that it seems Ubi doesn't know whether Rayman is the only Ray or not anymore, and so we're left to intensely debate over the point. Like I said earlier, we ended that discussion essentially mocking Ubi for how they couldn't make up their minds.

Re: Rayman Legends
Let's not forget Hunters and Livingstones who were limbless before but not on Origins/Legends. Ubi definitely cannot make up their minds
I wonder if anyone will get a chance to point out all those stuff perhaps in some interview.

Re: Rayman Legends

Re: Rayman Legends
I think the point of Rayman was that he specifically was not a being of Bubble Dreamer's creation, seeing as Rayman's existence began all the way back when he had his first nightmare, spawning Jano amongst other things. Maybe Bubble Dreamer can dream up more like Rayman, who knows?

Re: Rayman Legends
Sometimes I even wonder if Origins and Legends should be considered canon. Not that all the previous Rayman games make perfect sense together, but the last two are not making things any easier!
Re: Rayman Legends
Well, we know it is not a reboot, and that it is supossed to take place after R3, but I am questioning many things about it.

Re: Rayman Legends
Meh, I consider them all canon, but given the amount of contradictions and inconsistencies, it is one heck of a headache trying to make sense of everything established without discarding previously set canon.
Re: Rayman Legends
I don't think even Ubi was even trying to make sense

Re: Rayman Legends
I don't think there is a technical canon, the games have always been incredibly retconned/altered based on who's developing the game.

Re: Rayman Legends
We've just got to accept that we cannot make sense of it all, or that at least many theories can be considered acceptable.
Re: Rayman Legends
I've got to agree in here. Since these two games arrived, it only made things more difficult in terms of chronology and "what's canon and what's not". They also don't have a "4 or a 5" in the title but this is pretty much irrelevant anyway.Hunchman801 wrote:Sometimes I even wonder if Origins and Legends should be considered canon.
