< hopes swearing is allowed on RaymanPC. How can < activate the 99 lives cheat in the PS1 version?
XEBRA is not working for < even after resetting the settings (stuck on PlayStation screen after following ^’s instructions).

If a cheat is programmed into the game, then it's a valid way to play. It's not like the lives system in Rayman 1 was actually there because it was thought to be genuinely good design. Lives and continues only ever existed for arcade machines, so people would keep feeding money to arcade machines to beat the game. Console games only ever keep a lives system for "tradition" purposes, but it isn't a good design choice in most cases.

Cheats are just designed to aid people having difficulties with the game, so they can cheat to make the game easier.

The lives/continues systems are there for a reason: to add challenge to the game. It's quite simple, really. The game gives you a limited amount of opportunities to beat a certain bit in order to add CHALLENGE, and it does so effectively.

Also, don't tell other users what to do, they're just fuckin' words, the only real thing you should be worried about is how people use them.

I initially thought you had taken offense to his post and as such found the report partially reasonable (though no action would be taken anyway, as were you even somewhat in touch with reality, you would not have taken it literally), but seeing now as your motive for reporting was the fact that he was utilising swears, something which you were just told is perfectly fine on this forum, I'm going to warn you once more.

< once again reinstates that < is aware that Fifo has extreme difficulty interacting with other people, but it can only go so far if he chooses to keep requesting to be a moderator (which he's done on four separate occasions) and reporting posts for the stupidest reasons fathomable (second time).

But, anyways, the freezing is due to a malfunction with the image file that is being opened, or the lack of a BIOS file. Try doing the same with ARBEX (which simulates a BIOS file) and see if that works. If not, then the image file you are loading is corrupt and/or not being loaded properly in Daemon Tools.

Rayman works in ARBEX!

Good. Then take the same BIOS you use for ePSXe, drop it in the XEBRA folder, and rename it to OSROM (no extension.) Then open XEBRA and go to File>Open>OS ROM Image, and open the OSROM file in your XEBRA folder.

Stuck at PlayStation screen. It seems XEBRA is having trouble reading the disc.
