Meh, I sorta view RPC as Facebook with more intelligent people and a more tightly-integrated community. I have a Twitter account which I barely use, as I mainly don't really have anything noteworthy to say that I can't say inside of YouTube and this place.

I think there is something like 'nothing to do' on social networks, including Facebook and Twitter. Also I have noticed that social networks are flooded with a thousands of dumb childrem or, whats more worse, dumb adults too.
There is something special about forums, if compare them with social networks. I found all of my real, faithful friends and clever, even wise penpals there. Including my own husband. While *everyone* who were trying to get acquainted with me, were really annoying, disturbing and 'empty' people.

I still have really bad memories stuck in my head forever which were caused by people I met in social networks. I know, it is kinda my fault, I shouldn't reply and ignore/block them instead of speaking, but I always feel guilty when I ignore 'person' for nothing. And as a result, see that it wasn't worth for.

Forums are always going to be better for intelligent discussion because that is generally their intended purpose. You generate discussion over a particular theme. In this case, RPC was intended for Rayman discussion.

Social networks are literally just for connecting with people. Facebook is for connecting with people whom you actually know personally, so you all know what's going on in each others lives. Twitter is mainly a means for celebrities and figureheads to communicate with fans and such. At least, that's how I have always thought it was.

In that case, I really don't have much use for Facebook, as I can communicate with people fine via email, texting, and simple phone calls.

And I mainly use Twitter for the purpose you said as well, in my case attempting to communicate with the Conker dev team. I talked with Robin Beanland about speakers at one point, but I never did manage to reach Mr. Seavor himself, as the twat won't respond to my tweets.

I don't think forums really have the ability to dye anything, but I find it sad that they are dying out. The ability to communicate with everyone (including really fucking stupid people) in an unmoderated environment doesn't really appeal to me. I like being on this forum much better. I enjoy being on Facebook, because I, in fact, also have people I know in real life who I enjoy communicating with. Twitter on the other hand I find entirely pointless unless you're doing something consistent that a lot of people are interested in.

As do about 95% of people on the planet, including myself, and, as I said before, I am quite able to communicate with those people via texting and email, which actually is a much easier way of contacting them, at least for me. I never really had that much interest in Facebook, as I can more easily and reliably communicate with the things mentioned above. Your tone seems to suggest that you think I was shitting on social networks, when, in fact, I was just naming what I prefer.

Not really, if you think about it for more than a microsecond. Yes, the vast majority of people coming to your Twitter page will most likely be either our friends or those interested in what you post (but almost exclusively your friends, nonetheless), but, in all honesty, forums already have a pre-built community of those that will most likely share your interests, which is much easier for me. It's easier to get to know people, and for them to get to know you, since the community has already been built up.

So Bill Gates has retired, and one Satya Nadella has become CEO. While my knowledge of this in the grand scheme of things is pretty small, I do wonder what this means now for Microsoft.

I do hope this new CEO will bring in better changes for Microsoft's customers. I might be wrong about this, but so far, the only benefits they've made have mostly been for themselves. I mean, after that Xbone fiasco, even if they have made positive changes to it, it still hasn't restored my faith in them.

They can revert those changes anytime they want to with just a simple update and if I am not mistaking, it stands it the contract you must read before using console that they do have full rights to do it. So they can force people with all those changes any time they want.
