It's a real shame, because I went to school and was good friends with Jodelle Ferland (in fact, she was one of my only friends through grades 3 and 4), who played Sharon. She did a stunning job too, so I'm only all the more bothered by how utterly screwy and off-target the direction was. Really, it can make one mad when a child actor's - your friend's - image is left solely in the hands of terrible filmmakers.
