I just want to start off by saying I'm a huge fan of your work.
I also like to share that the music is one of the things that made Rayman 1 my favorite game of all time.
I think it's amazing you want to "remaster" these songs because they're so close to my heart.
I'd like to ask you one thing though: Was there anything or anyone that inspired you while making the music for Rayman?
Good luck with your project Rémi!

Hi, thank's a lot for your message
In response to your question : I was not directly inspired by anyone while making the musics, but I'm always inspired by many musics and other moods. I think inspiration could be found in many differents situations, not only music
If you want to follow the project, don't hesitate to subscribe to the newsletter on rayman1musics.gazel.net

Mr.Moskito mosquito's nest (the swamps of forgetfulness) (speed increase)
Mr.Sax
The Caves of Skops (joe1)
Crystal palace (La grotte)
Mr.Skops
Candy Chateau (le cirque - The mad race)

Credits (joe2)
Perdu (game over)
I know it's been a long time, but do you remember who composed each of the other tracks? The credits list about fifteen people under music and sound effects, but until now we've had no idea who composed what. It would be great to finally be able to give credit where it's due after all these years. Did you collaborate much with the other composers?
I like the Rayman 1 music. I’ve got all the 50 tracks on a CD.
You mean the R1 CD?
Yeah. I have the original PS1 CD.

I know PC versions have 24 tracks
Got mine too (ps1 of course)! And I must say, Mr. Gazel, whenever I'm not playing the game, I pop the disc into my portable CD player and listen to the tracks on loop!
Masterpieces indeed, and I would definitely pay big money for tickets if your project were ever to do live concert shows.

Hi, I'm afraid I can't help you for your question... I didn't met the other composers...

Thank's to you, I hope I will embody my project and play theses soundtracks live soon

Posting from my backup account (original account is banned for 24 hours), I also have a Saturn disc. I have the PC, PS1, and Saturn discs.

Digging yourself deeper then? What part of a 24 hour ban is difficult to comprehend, Fifo? Do you want an extended ban? Or even an IP ban?
Until your ban has been served, if you want to remain in a favourable position, honour that ban and stop trying to circumvent it.

I mean the packaging size of the version. You know the Japanese version released in a small standard Jewelcase while the american for instance got a big longbox. I know it is stupid but the type of packaging and size do have an appealing on the quality of the game to me. When I look at the Rayman Funpack box my first impression would be: Wow that must be a big collection of games :O

I prefer Japanese Saturn cases a lot. They take less space and look more awesome. When it is single game, I want standard Jewelcase, but if there are more games, I prefer bigger box.
