People can be such fucking idiots sometimes. It's despicable to target a person for a fucking disability (something ordinary humans would be empathetic about), especially since you can't even help it!

I don't see it as a disability but as a difference. But it does really suck that people judge others for being born different.

- Good god, my house is definitely from space, I know it. There's no human contact, it's a mess. Every single bloody time I come home or even speak to my mother, it instantly results in her cutting me off after one second with 'stop', and then a rant about something, followed often by some kind of a threat. I'm very difficult to push over, and a few days ago, she managed to reduce me to being literally unable to speak, and said that if I didn't give an answer to her question, she would take everything (literally, including my car keys, computer, instruments, everything). While this isn't the first time she's done this (she's done so on one or two previous occasions), this was the first time she's threatened to take my instruments in addition to everything else, and not followed through on it. Instead I get a whack to the face after she accuses me of mouthing 'you stupid bitch', when I was actually mouthing 'one moment, just wait'. Every day I come home I just hope that she for once doesn't have something to bark about or criticise, and every single time I've been let down.

+ She's leaving for a two weeks in... two weeks!

+ My friend's aunt, the manager for said friend's band which I'm producing really saw eye-to-eye with me on both a situational and emotional level, and she even requested to help me see if I could apply for a homeless residency and income assistance in a new suite being built downtown. Being a ex-touring-rockstar herself and someone who has also taken a liking to my production, she's even willing to pay me to produce some of her own music.

+ I went to a new studio opening up in the city for low-cost rehearsal space and production to see if I could become a demo producer there, and as it turns out that was a leaked ad; they haven't even finished building the place yet. Sure enough I've landed the job - the people who've founded the place are some of the coolest people I've ever met, and starting in a couple weeks I'll be the sole demo producer for this new studio. They speculate based on public interest so far to have (a calculated average of) three bands coming in per-week, each requesting five songs. Since I'm currently working out a payment, I've figured something along the lines of $100 for a low-end demo that may take me 45 minutes to an hour to record, and 2-3 hours to produce. This quite literally means I could be making between $1000 and $2000 a week, tallying up to a potential of over $80,000 per-year! If this works out, which it very much sounds like it will, I'll surely be able to move out into a nice place of my own and afford some pretty swell things!

-/+ Fuck me, I have so much going on at once, On top of it all I need to finish school and my music courses, the latter of which is definitely more enjoyable than the former. On the upside though, even though this is one more thing to add to onto my plate, I think anything is better and farmore inspirational than living at home right now. I can't wait to get out and process how much I despise my current homelife, or at least realise it through some kind of angsty songwriting and stage-performing, of course alongside mister Rulez.

-/+ I totally forgot what this one was, as well as whether it was a plus or a minus. :mryellow:

Regardless:

EDIT:
- I've quite literally, just now, while finishing off this post, been threatened again. Apparently if I'm in the bathroom for a shower for longer than fifteen minutes (this isn't even exclusive to actually having the water running either), I'm "fighting her", and she will take my keys, and arguing this point also counts as "fighting her". She's also apparently also set a fifteen-minute alarm on her phone. Legit wth? For note, she wants me to stay and make money here, and she's even admitted to assuming I'm going to do so and support her through her old age. Fuck you! I'm out of here as soon as I can you piece of shit! You deserve absolutely nothing from me at this point.

EDIT:
- She skipped time. After eleven minutes I was almost out, and she banged on the door and took my keys. I now have no way of getting to my lessons, my production sessions, or literally anything now. You rotten, pathetic being.

It's called a cybercafé. Cafés don't translate into English, we still call them Cafés, but the drink is called coffee.

That's an odd punishment for somebody that needs to get around town everyday, I'd suggest borrowing a bike but that would probably get you in more trouble.

You are 18, how come you let her do all that? If I was there instead of you and if she was my mother, and if she tried to threaten me ANYTHING like that, she would regret it her whole life and I would make sure that she would NEVER forget that day.

I am sorry if I sound too much tyranic but when I read your post, I felt mad. This is totally unfair and you deserve far better.
Just a question since I don't know you personally so I can't know this. Are you physically stronger than her?

Are you sure? What specifically would you have done, realistically, looking from my perspective?
OldClassicGamer wrote:You are 18, how come you let her do all that?
That's what I used to ask myself, and then reality hits you: in order for you not to end in a soup kitchen, you're going to have to put up with whatever's coming. Foster care is usually terrible and not worth it (my friend was in it, and all it did was force him to start working fifteen hours a week when he was fourteen just so he could get out of it), and another one of my friends who opted against Foster care ended up living on a park bench for four months. In a sense, I'm the lucky one out of the three of us in that I'm the only one who has a choice, but at the same time, even they go on rants now about how terrible my mother is - this is more recent (within the past year), as my mother's tendency is to act overly (disgustingly) nice around others, to the point where it could fool anyone, but now that I've been spending more time with them, my mother has started to let that slip (probably unbeknownst to her) (especially on one occasion where one of them - the politest guy I know who never gets mad - started grinding their teeth and getting snappy, something I've never seen them do before), and they now understand.
OldClassicGamer wrote:Just a question since I don't know you personally so I can't know this. Are you physically stronger than her?
I wouldn't say so, but then again, I'm not entirely sure. She used to be the captain of a Norwegian volleyball team that played international competitive, and she still exercises nearly every day, but she's also 55 now and has some mobility issues due previous injuries. I'd say that she's much stronger than the average 'parent', and stronger than me, but if I were placed in a fight with her, I would likely win due to her number of injuries.

As for myself, I rarely exercise and I'm not as physically active as I used to be (though don't necessarily sit on my ass all day either), but I'm also luckily one of those people whom genetics have been kind to, in that, in comparison to my brother who is tall, rather scrawny and generally a bit of a flimsy twig, I'm about as 'physically active' as him and I'm just as tall, but my build is tougher (I'm about as thin as he is, but I'm not scrawny) and able to sustain much more wear and beating, as well as probably be able to deliver a much bigger punch. Since we both went to the same school (though four years apart), the P.E. teachers underestimated me when the wrestling semester began, as they were comparing me to him.

Apologies for the loads of text, I'm just into giving details right now.

I would act normally but if she started to threaten me, I would say with very irritating tone: "Is there reaaaly need for something like that? Wouldn't it be better if we all just enjoyed our lifes normally?"

Assuming she would continue, and tried to take something mine, I would just say something like: "I'm afraid I can't let you do this" also with very irritating tone because I would want to make her mad at the point of hitting me. Thats when I would say: "This was far from good idea" and give her a good beat up that she would not dare ever again to touch me or threaten me. If she tried to call police or tried to press charge against me for assult, I would just say that I was self defending myself and that she first threatned me and tried to take stuff that are MY PROPERTY so in the end she would lose and I would win.

Don't apologise for a lot of text. It is something that is bugging you so you better get it all out.

This is idiotic. Sent you guys a PM elaborating on the matter. I know how this feels (though my parents admittedly don't usually reach that level of assholeishness), but this is the wrong course of action.

I didn't mean anything by my post. I just always thought of it as a disability, though I recognize that many with autism have unusually high strengths in a certain areas.

Meh, agreed. School would be fine with a lesser amount of homework, and if it started a little bit before lunch instead.
