I did mention a story today with Anders but I had no idea Rayman Revolution was in question.

Wow is this like the second person to have a hunger strike over RAYMAN (the first being a bellend on the official Ubi forums who kept complaining about Rayman Legends being delayed to such a point)?

Bleh he should be lucky he's even got something to play with considering what he even DID.

Welcome to the forum, would you like to introduce yourself here?

Convicted Norwegian mass murderer Anders Breivik threatened to go on a hunger strike unless he's given a PlayStation 3, access to more adult games, a PC and a nicer chair, the AFP reports.

Breivik was sentenced to 21 years in prison for killing 77 people in a bombing and shooting rampage in July 2011. During his trial, Breivik told a packed Oslo courtroom how he used Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to "train" for the summer shooting spree. He also defended his World of Warcraft gaming habits, saying it was a hobby and unrelated to the attacks.

In the letter, obtained by the AFP and dated Jan. 29, 2013, Breivik calls himself a human rights activist and said that the prison system was treating him "worse than an animal.

The letter makes 12 demands including the right to communicate more freely with the public, the replacement of his PS2 with a PS3, access to more adult games and a sofa or armchair.

"Other inmates have access to adult games while I only have the right to play less interesting kids games. One example is Rayman Revolution, a game aimed at three year olds," Breivik wrote in the letter, according to the AFP.

He argued that since he has behaved since his incarceration he should have access to a wider "selection of activities" than other inmates to make up for his isolation. He also asked for a PC to replace his typewriter, bemoaning the lack of technology afforded him.
Not only the guy is a heartless jerk (since he had no problem in killing innocent people's lives and ruining the lives of the closest people of the victims) but he also has got no gaming taste and fails in being realistic when classifying the game. What was he also expecting about the prison treatment? A five stars hotel treatment? Shut up, really.
"You've put me in hell ... and I won't manage to survive that long," he wrote. "You are killing me."
Then just die right now: you would make a favour to the world's safety.

Well, I won't deny that the voice acting in Revolution is embarrassing to the point that it could be mistaken for a Teletubbies cartoon in the next room, so I don't have a problem with him saying that.

Nonetheless, he should be kissing the shoes of the government for not only sparing his life, but giving him only 21 years of incarceration. In most other places in the world he would either be executed, or confined for at least 30-40 years. Mind you, I don't think that asking for a more comfortable chair is a problem, since there's no real downside to that, but the guy's clearly a dick.

I also know that the english voice acting in RR is not perfect, but this is precisely why I do advice people to play the game in French and leaving the english text. It is really other thing.

If he did the massacre in certain states of the US he wouldn't escape an execution, or even a heavier penalty (like you said, 30/40 or even more) but I also think that the fact he already owns a good game console is there is much better than staring to the walls.

As for RR voice acting, while not perfect on english, it is better than PS1 version at least :P

I know I'm not an English native, but I think the RR voice act isn't as bad as some voicings can be but it is definitely better than the lame one of PS1.

Indeed, it's not that awful, it's just almost embarrassing in the sense that they are the kinds of voices you'd hear in a cartoon aimed at three-year-olds, for people who can barely even speak English themselves. They sound completely undignified.

Breivik is right to be angry over subjection to such an uneven remake. This is a human right issue! Get this man a copy of the PC version of Rayman 2, stat!

Well, to be fair, one does not need to have a knowledge of certin language at all to tell if voice acting is good or bad. It's all about emotion and the way they express and portray characters. But you do have a good English knowledge so it is even easier.

Or maybe DC version. Oh wait, then he will complain again because DC is even older system than PS2 :tssk:

The dreamcast version is graphically more successful than the other versions.
And the enemies apparently have different attacks they can from the same bombs that Grolgoth.
And you what do you think ?

What do I think? Well, I fully agree that Dreamcas version has best visuals and best framerate.

Yes it's true.
There's also the revolution version I saw I liked, but what I like about this version is a little free side of the game because we do not stay locked up in the hall of doors

Meh, when it comes to looks, I think Revolution does look better, but its better looks are less easy to appreciate thanks to the horrendous frame rate. The levels have more objects in them for instance, and I think it makes levels feel a little less empty and more wholesome.

Just to clarify, I meant that I didn't have a problem with the statement out of context. In context, it's obviously pathetic.

Hmm, favourite level, it always seems to shift for me. Currently, I'm rather fond of The Top of the World.
