Thought I'd post this here in case anyone's interested in a shiny 6IV foreing ditto. The perfect thing for breeders. Gee, I sure hope I'm not putting too much strain on that poor guy, but he did tell me to spread the love! D:

I was about to go get one when I saw the "Pokedit" thing and then I just "noped". I'd rather own a legit one.

Apparently the online services of the Pokémon DS and Wii games will end day 20th May of this year. I find too early for the owners of the Gen 5 copies but I believe this means I must hurry up with the Déx conclusion in my White version, and having spare ones for White 2 since I won't be able to get it before Summer.

Aye it does feel rather early for Gen 5, I believe BW1 are just barely 3 years old? Not that it bothers me personally but aye.

Wait, what does this mean exactly? Are they shutting down the GTS services for ds and wii games or more than that?

They're shutting off Nintendo Wifi for Wii and DS, online stuff like GTS, Online Battles and the like will be gone for Pokemon Gen IV and V. But it also means plenty of other DS games lose their online functionality, as well as Wii titles, such as Smash Bro's Brawl.

It will be a shame to see Mario Kart DS/Wii's online to shut down then. I had great online times with both games, especially Mario Kart DS in which I think it was the best version of all of the serie titles that I've played so far.

I see no reason for this. PS2 games still have supported online as far as I am aware. Why is Nintendo doing this?

To pressure its costumers to move on to the Wii U and 3DS.

They should make it so that online on DS and Wii games only work if they are played from Wii U and 3DS. That would be justified.

Got Pokémon White 2 today as a gift! I'm more relieved that I got it before the DS servers shut down time. Now I just need to hurry up with both this and White 1.

I heard Mario Kart Wii's online was officially shut down. Too bad, It's probably the one game I spend most time online on, and while Kart 8 looks fantastic I don't think any upcoming game will ever recreate the competitive racing Wii offered.

I might do a run of Platinum soon, kinda in the mood for that game.

Hm, the 3rd version of the Sinnoh games, eh? It's been a while since I've played it, but I recall it being pretty decent.

@Keane Yes, sadly the MKWii service will end the online mode day 20th May aswell. A shame since I've spent few fun hours with my friends in France in the online mode. We shall try to move on to MK8 once us three get a game copy each.

Seeing as I'm somewhat uneasy about the Next-Gen train at the moment, I'd probably stick to MK7 once I got a 3DS, which I covet more with every game.
