I found none of these issues to be disturbing, I guess you care about the details 99% of players will never notice more than I do.
Some of those things are blatantly noticeable, and while they may not bother those that are incapable of noticing obvious issues, they bother me. Admittedly, some may not notice the lower quality backgrounds and the like, though things like the combined CDDA tracks do hit the game's atmosphere pretty hard, especially in areas that are supposed to be suspenseful, yet the happy music from the beginning of the CDDA track is playing. :P

I don't care about the breakout game but I like the first part of Bongo Hills a thousand times more in the PC version, as it features unique sceneries and acts as a transition between the Dream Forest and Band Land.
Ye, but that's simply a matter of personal taste, as though it provides a better transition, the level design (and the amount of fun to have in the level) is far worse than the first stage in the PS/Saturn versions, at least in my opinion. And the "alternate map" I was referring to applied to each and every level, as the design is quite different in the PC version.

Also, Ad and I had a page-long discussion about this before, in which I specifically asked for this to stop, as I really don't want to talk about it any more. Everyone has their own opinions, and I think all of us, including me, need to realize that.

which makes it a bit hard to know about. And considering I usually fix these issues within two minutes of me posting, I don't see how this is that big of an issue.
:boon:
I had to fix several of these in a single page, which you had obviously not taken care of. If you don't see the issue with making your posts illegible to other users, then there's probably nothing I can do for you. :tssk: Anyway, just show some consideration for others and use the preview function, it's there for a reason.
I do, in fact, my best to make my posts legible, and I don't understand how the simple omission of a bit of code a few times recently (in my 10-month lifespan here, mind you) instantly makes me one who does not care about the consequences of making my posts "illegible" to other users. As I already explained to Ad, sometimes I am not always able to fix these issues, as I sometimes post when I am at school, and thus am not always able to submit my fix quickly enough. I have been using the preview function since then, as I have in fact learned from my mistakes. ;)

My point was never to oppose your arguments as to why you find the PC version worse than the others, which almost all make perfect sense in my opinion, though some of them are indeed no more than a matter of personal taste. I just pointed out how exaggerated your bashing of the PC version was, as an overwhelming majority of players will most likely never notice any of these changes.

At first I only kindly asked you to pay more attention. Only after your disdainful answer in which you stated that “[you] don't see how this is that big of an issue” did I get the impression that you hardly cared about the problem, and I wasn't the only one. I'm glad you've learned from your mistakes and no one's going to begrudge you a couple missing tags but you might just want to take advice from the team in a more constructive way. ;)

Now let's try to stay on topic and talk about Rayman Origins instead!

A'ight. I sometimes exaggerate my dislike for something, though I do feel that some of the changes in the PC version shit on the original atmosphere. It's not so much the magnitude of the issues that makes me dislike that version so much as the impact those things had on the atmosphere.

But on the topic of Rayman Origins, I actually haven't finished it. I've been playing the Vita version (which, in my opinion, is the best version, since it has everything that the PC version has, as well as to the exclusive content and features, as well as the excellent touch integration), and have beat only the Dragon Chef so far (an awesome boss fight BTW). I've taken a break from it for a while to play other games (and since I misplaced my Vita for a while :P ), but I wish to get back to it soon.

As I said before, the Vita players are the ones that got rewarded most rather than the PS3 and Xbox 360 players.

PC players were also lucky to get DRM-free version so they could share it with friends and stuff. Shame Rayman Legends took that away in PC version.

So I found this about someone who worked on Rayman Origins and their experience when developing the game: http://gamasutra.com/view/feature/16721 ... hp?print=1

The lead concept artist of Rayman Origins, Floriane Marchix, has done the graphics for The Red Riding Hood game for smartphones and tablets. The trailer is below. That indeed does look very familiar.

My thoughts on Rayman Origins:
pro:
-It looks good.
-The retry system makes it as hard as it wants without being unfair
-I like the redesigns of the R1 characters, although the Nymphs could've been a bit less... lets say revealing
-I have nothing against the Magician becoming a villain
-I liked the way the worlds transition into each other
-I love swimming

Con:
-They shouldn't cut the story
-Land of the Livid Dead(Thank Polukus it's optional)
-The fire/ice world could've used a bit more levels.

The Land of the Livid Dead should have had more levels and not just one.

I feel half-and-half about that, Haruka.

Sure, it would have been nice to venture the depths of the Land of the Livid Dead but, the one Bonus Level of Hell seems fine seeing it did take its level design to max difficulty when players first encountered it.

Hm, TLOTLD is pretty much the final exam level of RO, taking all of the reflexes and skills and having one marathon sprint to the end, with that in mind, I can see the logic. But, at the same time, I do wish it was rounded off with something a little more substantial than the Big Mama, which to all intents and purposes, was a bit meh as a boss and as a finale.

Yeah, I can agree with the Big Mama boss fight. It could of been a bit harder.

I would have loved if the boss battle was like a tribute to Mr. Dark boss fight and that you first fight Big Mama as a Nymph and later transformed.

Because she's friendly as a nymph. ;)

Where was it proven that she is friendly as a Nymph? As far as I know, her real name is Death Fairy on French. Just because she is sister of other Nymphs is not a proof for me. I always imagined Big Mama as the one who despises her sisters and is jealous of them and that that is the reason why she lives in Land of the Livid Dead.

Meh, I wouldn't believe it so, if she weren't a nice 'un, I doubt she'd be thankful once reverted out of her nightmare state, but hey, Origins is a bit vague when it comes to story elements, so who knows?
