Re: Future Rayman games
I personally don't find any of RL bosses memorable like R1 bosses.
I am neutral to Barbara because she does not affect story or anything. She is just there as playable character and anyone who does not like her can simply not play as her. I fail to see all the complains the character gets.

Re: Future Rayman games
Legends bosses, ehh...I think they relied a little too much on the Gold Punch, perhaps that's why the Luchadore is my favourite out of Legend's lot, because it didn't use the same power-up as the others.
That being said, I still think the UbiArt games need to work on their bosses, they can be pretty inventive, as is the case with the Dragon Chef or Luchadore. But I don't really think they're all that challenging, barring Legend's final boss, which only is so because it's actually durable and can take plenty of hits, hence giving a greater chance that an error can be made before the next phase begins.

Re: Future Rayman games
I am sad to say that the final boss in Legends was a little underwhelming once I finally beat it. It was certainly challenging, but it didn't have the feel of a final boss. There wasn't hardly any build up to it as there were with the other worlds. I'd hope that whatever future game they do with UbiArt, if at all, they'll be more inventive and give more build-up to their bosses overall.Master wrote:Legends bosses, ehh...I think they relied a little too much on the Gold Punch, perhaps that's why the Luchadore is my favourite out of Legend's lot, because it didn't use the same power-up as the others.

Master, I will agree the Luchadore is one of my favorite bosses as well. It may actually be one of my most played boss levels besides the dragon chef.

Re: Future Rayman games
Agreed, as difficult as the Swarm was, it just lacked a lasting effect to me, and for all its challenge, it did seem a little...meh as an idea. Either ways, I think we're agreed that they need to work on the bosses
Re: Future Rayman games
I liked the bosses. But yeah, Dark Cloud was underwhelming for a final boss. the setup was good. Starting in hell and ending in heaven. Like the FF6 Final boss, only not as epic.
Re: Future Rayman games
Hm, since when was his name Dark Cloud?
Didn't we call him Hades before?

I don't think any boss is named. I just called it Dark Cloud because it looks like one and it's in the level nameHm, since when was his name Dark Cloud?

I don't recall calling it Hades at any point, Dark Cloud does ring a bell though.

Is it officially called Hades's Hand?

Re: Future Rayman games
Hmm, the RayWiki redirects to "Dark Cloud" when typing that in, so I'm assuming it was thought to be referred to as such at one point.
Re: Future Rayman games
I never saw "Dark Cloud" name once in game. All clues before were telling us it is Hades.
Re: Future Rayman games
What clues? nothing in that world told me it was Hades and the level was called "A Cloud of Darkness!".I never saw "Dark Cloud" name once in game. All clues before were telling us it is Hades

Re: Future Rayman games
OCG's proof is to do with the official name for the track that plays during the fight: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ENX ... B00ENX54LA
Re: Future Rayman games
Exactly and thus, RayWiki page is edited once again to have name Hades' Hand and it should stay that way, unless some good proof is given that boss official name is "Dark Cloud". Level's name is not enough proof of course and plus it does not even say "Dark Cloud", but it is kinda similar. Still, official soundtrack name is bigger proof.

Two Words: Rayman Rhythm. A spin-off game with Rayman and friends in an entire game that's nothing but Musical Maps.

Re: Future Rayman games
Hm, given the fact that such levels tend to require nonstop movement, perhaps they might do well on mobiles.
Re: Future Rayman games
It can be third mobile game, to go with the style of third UBIArt installment.

Re: Future Rayman games
This is the the whole Murray debacle all over again. There is equal evidence to suggest that either is possible, but due to the cloud being a swarm of creatures and not a singular being, it's probably safer to call it the Dark Cloud instead of referring to it as a singular name. There isn't even any evidence in game to suggest to it is Hades himself. In fact, the creature is only a hand for one third of the fight, making that name somewhat incorrect.OldClassicGamer wrote:Exactly and thus, RayWiki page is edited once again to have name Hades' Hand and it should stay that way, unless some good proof is given that boss official name is "Dark Cloud". Another possibility is that the lava area is simply called Hades, avoiding the Hell thing, and that it's simply a creature of Hades.
Re: Future Rayman games
Well, writing article with the name Hades' Hand is correct either way if it is Hades' himself or not. If it is Hades himself, then you are just fighting his hand instead of his whole body. It could also mean that it is hand created by the god Hades. Whatever the case is, title "Hades' Hand" is not misleading at all.
