Re: Rayman Legends
Since Blade Runner is being referenced in the interview, I think chances are more turned to be BG&E2. I would be really happy to see more about it since I quite enjoyed the original game.

Re: Rayman Legends
Agreed, I think it's time the 10 year gap be bridged, and Rayman given a slight rest for future endeavours.

Re: Rayman Legends
I'm more interested in BG&E2 personally.
Re: Rayman Legends
Yes, so am I, and I think most of us here are. BG&E was a masterpiece. Let's hope they don't turn the sequel into Beyond Good & Evil Origins, where Pey'J slaps Jade with his [DomZ-infected hand]. Well, I'm pretty sure Ancel knows what made BG&E so special, so I don't think he will go that overboard again. ^^

Re: Rayman Legends
Oh, man, I so want to see what plans he has for his next 3D game. Like Ad, I'm really hoping for something along the lines of either Rayman or Beyond Good and Evil. If there is a 3D Rayman game in the works, personally, I want the experience of punching enemies with a Wii remote and nunchuck like with the previously conceived Rayman 4. Nothing would be more satisfying to me than punching things the way Rayman does.
Re: Rayman Legends
BG&E did surprise me when I played the first 30 minutes. It is such an underrated game that I think it is a true shame it failed commercially. You know, I liked it so much that I even bought the retail version for PC for collection and bought the HD version for PS3.

Re: Rayman Legends
It's almost definitely Beyond Good & Evil 2. As much as it saddens me that we're probably not getting another Rayman game for awhile, it's still good to see Ancel finally doing one of his dream projects.
Re: Rayman Legends
I think that someone will work on Rayman game even if Ancel is working on BG&E.
Next Rayman will most likely be announced at E3.

It's not underrated at all actually, pretty much everyone who's played it agrees it's a great game.Haruka wrote:BG&E did surprise me when I played the first 30 minutes. Re: Rayman Legends
Interesting. I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a sequel to BG&E. Can't wait for more news about this project!
Re: Rayman Legends
I think Haruka meant underrated in terms not being talked about much or considered obscure as opposed to it being considered bad. That and the poor sales. I haven't actually ever had a chance to play it, and I kind of know it as 'that game that meant Ancel was not involved in Rayman 3 making it suckier'spiraldoor wrote:It's not underrated at all actually, pretty much everyone who's played it agrees it's a great game.Haruka wrote:BG&E did surprise me when I played the first 30 minutes. As for Rayman 2D vs 3D, I know many will disagree with me here, but i think that the Rayman series is made for 2D. Part of the reason that makes Rayman so great is that artsy digital painted look the graphics have which make the environments look great, and I really think that the effect doesn't translate so well into 3D. The return to that look with Origins and Legends has been really pleasing for me, and likewise, I also enjoy the 2D titles released for GBA (especially Rayman Raving Rabbids). That's not to say that it wouldn't be interesting to see Ubisoft do another take on 3D Rayman in the future, especially if it's like some of those pieces of concept art for 'Rayman 4' (<3), but to me Rayman will always be 2D

Re: Rayman Legends
I doubt you're going to get that stuff from a simple Q&A, but, here's to optimism.
