Re: Cartoon Shows
This is going to sound pathetic, but I'm still hyperventilating at that Courage clip. Stuff like that is the reason I stopped watching it. In fact, I'm pretty sure I replaced Courage with Dragon Ball Z.

Re: Cartoon Shows
I saw that clip afterwards. I still think the former one is creepier. Why did Courage have that dream anyway? What was the episode about?dartofthedavros wrote:oh, its not that bad! Re: Cartoon Shows
Right, so I did watch Betty, and...eh, I can see what you guys meant. I think the thing about Simon is that having him return in any incident would have been immense, too immense for 11 minutes I'd think. And sadly, I think this is the major issue with this episode, because I think having some more time to see the impact of having Simon back, even for a fleeting episode, would have been nice, particularly in regards to his relationship with Marceline. The framework was good though, just a pity it felt a little empty.

After watching some Gravity Falls episodes and the shorts again, all I can say is damn...this is just an amazing show. I await the arrival of Season 2.

Am starting to get back into Young Justice ...just because I want to see the episodes where Deathstroke appears!
I'm starting to get back into Deathstroke. Might start drawing him, too, now that I think about it.

Yeah. I thought it was a great episode, though simply too rushed. Too quick. They should've had it as a two part episode at the least. Also, season three's finally out on Blu-ray.Master wrote:Right, so I did watch Betty, and...eh, I can see what you guys meant. I found the classic series of Dilbert. It's even funnier than I remember. That Dogbert is such a likable jerk.

Re: Cartoon Shows
Loved the new episodes of Adventure Time. Princess Bubblegum singing Lemonhope's song at the end of part-two really messed with my feels.
Agreed. Gravtiy Falls, Adventure Time, Bob's Burgers, and Steven Universe - I can't describe how obsessed I am with 'em. My faith in cartoons has been restored (AT has been around for four years, but I didn't care about it as much as I do now).Bradandez wrote:After watching some Gravity Falls episodes and the shorts again, all I can say is damn...this is just an amazing show. Re: Cartoon Shows
That last scene in "Lemonhope Part 2", the one with Lemonhope returning accompanied by the song, was really intense.
What's really sad about it is that it clearly takes place in the future. Lemonhope said he'd return from wandering in one thousand years, so it's around that many years later. The tall tree is Finn and Jake's house, the wrecked city is obviously the Candy Kingdom (It has peppermint rails, and there's some sort of castle in the background). The mountains are no longer covered in ice. The grass is no longer green, there's no trees other than Finn and Jake's.
That being said, even if it's depressing, there's some good in it. The grass he stands in at the beginning is clearly green, so perhaps life continued elsewhere, but the main areas of Ooo (Candy Kingdom, Castle Lemongrab, Finn and Jake's house, maybe the Ice Kingdom, etc.) are left in radiation and destruction. I think this explains the weird red shield sort of thing he's wearing. It must be some sort of radiation suit that allows him to explore the area without harm.
This, sadly, implies that there was a second war and most if not all of the main characters are dead or living somewhere else. It's a prime example that history really does repeat itself.

Re: Cartoon Shows
I find it kinda funny yet sad that when he was finally tired of freedom, freedom was all that was left of Ooo. and is it just me or did it imply that he died?

Re: Cartoon Shows
I thought the same, both about it being funny he got tired of freedom, and thinking the ending implied he died. Also thought it was interesting how he was serious about wandering around and returning after one thousand years. But anyways, I'm pretty sure he did die after going to sleep. Maybe that red shield was keeping him alive, maybe he was just of that age and felt it coming, maybe both.dartofthedavros wrote:I find it kinda funny yet sad that when he was finally tired of freedom, freedom was all that was left of Ooo. and is it just me or did it imply that he died?

Re: Cartoon Shows
on the topic of adventure times season finale (SPOILERS), what did y'all think of billy's last 2 items in his bucket list? cause for starters I want to know whats up with finn's sword, killing the fear feaster on its own. and the fact that finns dad is alive is another mystery, one they will no doubt start season 6 with.

Re: Cartoon Shows
Whoa, spoilers man! I'm not going to be able to watch the episode until later today, seeing as I've lost today's late start for an exam, though I'll be finishing early, so I'll get my thoughts in when I'm back.

Re: Cartoon Shows
Well, seen it now, and I'm as curious as you are regarding those incidents, though I'm getting the feeling AT is getting closer to some conclusion now, seeing as we've seen major developments over quite a few story arcs this season.

The humor in Rick and Morty is just hilarious.

Re: Cartoon Shows
Arg why did I watch a full episode of Pacman and the awkward teen years Ghostly Adventures when it had scenes of really graphic looking pimples and inflation and massive farts and shit...
And yet so far I've seen barely any of the sort in Rabbids Invasion.

Re: Cartoon Shows
Well, on the topic of less than stellar adaptations, gather the pitchforks, this is the first trailer for the TMNT film:
Meh, joking aside, seems pretty average.
