Agreed, Tily is a pain in the arse character. Kinda creative, I guess it also gave another option to appeal to some girls playing. Either way Rayman M did have a brilliant choice of characters, especially when it comes down to the skin variations. It's still one of my all time favourite games, mainly because of all the nostalgia around it.todpole wrote:Since this is her only appearance, I'll just say it here. I don't like Tilly's design. It just looks wrong to me. I don't know if it's an outfit or if she's naked and if she is...that's just wrong. I'll just call the fairy with the red hat in Rayman 3 Tilly instead. Atleast I know what I'm looking at.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Meh, dislike of Tily is more a norm than oddity, though I'm not really fussed by her.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Seems like theres a cheat menu in Rayman M, unknown to me. I'm just going to try this on my PS2.EDIT: It works, and is very odd. On the PS2, you have to hold the 4 trigger buttons, then while holding them hold Square, Triangle and Circle (5 balls should appear at the bottom of the screen), then while still holding them, hold Cross, 10 balls should appear, and one should turn yellow per second until it is full and the cheat menu will appear, along with a new entry for it in the pause menu.
Also, how do you unlock this?

Re: Rayman M-Arena
Fascinating, I've never heard of this before (though in retrospect, I've never held any close association to Rayman M). Either ways, you're quite the discoverer of secrets, it's pretty darn impressive, if I do say so myself.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Well most of them I don't discover, just bring them to greater attention. I'm sure there's still stuff left to find in the games though.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
mmh. There is maybe a debug mode, though it is only an hypothesiss

Hehe, I don't doubt it, it took 10 years for the Tomb of the Ancients secret to be properly uncovered, for instance. And it was thanks to you that knowledge of the Dreamcast DLC secret entrance methods became better known.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
But you know, Rayman 2 - DreamCast - Rayman 3 Beta - Rayman Arena has much secrets that we don't know.

Indeed, that's what I was acknowledging.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Wow, nice discovery! I had absolutely no knowledge about those secret cheats. I should give it a shot later.

Re: Rayman M-Arena
When I was younger and was properly into Rayman M (literally the only thing I played). I managed to totally trash my PS2 controller analogue stick. Where you push the stick up, my controller literally has a gash in the bottom of the stick. If you push hard enough it'll actually stick in place to the controller because of the gash. Haha that's just how much I played that game!!
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I remember playing the game with a friend when I was much younger, we discovered a strange glitch where we could gain infinite height by punching each other continuously. It only worked in Timber Wood though, for some reason.

I once glitched through the Nebluous tower and ended up phoning UbiSoft hahahaXenon wrote:I remember playing the game with a friend when I was much younger, we discovered a strange glitch where we could gain infinite height by punching each other continuously. Because it was a weird glitch and I was youngXenon wrote:Why did you phone Ubisoft?
Re: Rayman M-Arena
I believe there was a phone line many years ago for walkthrough tips. The evolution of technology ruined that business.
Re: Rayman M-Arena
Many companies including Nintendo had that. I wish it still exist.

Finally managed to install this on my PC... Does anyone know how does the LAN mode work?
Re: Rayman M-Arena
LAN Mode never worked for me.
