I saw the interview where that came from. I think they were just being vague. Basically, you'll be able to watch episodes without having to worry about the order or whatever. There will probably be some things that will be introduced that will carry over into other episodes (characters, for example. They won't have every character in episode 1). And we may get flashback scenes and what not. Other than that though, the show won't have a strict canon. Kinda like the Kirby anime, where most episodes are just a random fun thing that can be watched in any order. Only some episodes need to be watched at specific points.

Apologies for the bump, but I figured some people here might be interested in this.

SAGE (Sonic Amateur Games Expo) 2014 - Act I, has gone live. There is a wide selection of Sonic fan games and Sonic-inspired games to sample, and you can vote on giving games awards in different categories. With the exception of one or two games, these are not ROM hacks, but games made on original or existing open source engines (such as Game Maker and UDK). Might be a fun way to pass the time.

I'm about to try "Sonic Lost Adventure", which is a UDK/SonicGDK game. Then I'll get back to college work! :V

I just checked the website: http://sagexpo.org/games/
It looks really nice. Please tell us your opinion on some games when you try them.

Huh, of all actors to replace, why Tails, why not Amy?
Anyway, I really like the dialogue they have for the cartoon so far.

Tails' voice from Colors and onwards was the best one for him, no changing was needed. Amy's voice sucks and I prefer her old 4kids voice to be honest.
Glad to see Roger and Mike a lot.

This news is a bit old, but... http://reviewfix.com/2014/02/review-fix ... with-sega/
Looks like there could be some more Sega and Nintendo partnerships in the future.

I still think sales would be much higher if Sonic was on both Nintendo and other systems but it's their choice and I am not gonna complain.

I wouldn't take that as "there's going to be more exclusivity deals". More Nintendo exclusive games, though? Definitely. I just think this means we can expect to see more things like Nintendo themed stuff in Nintendo versions of Sonic games, and in the exclusives that do come. Even before this three game partnership, plenty of Sonic games have been Nintendo exclusive. If anything, I just think that, whenever a Sonic game is Nintendo exclusive in the future, Nintendo will probably directly fund it like they have with Lost World and will do with Sonic Boom.

I think it also pretty much confirms that Sonic will forever be a recurring Smash Bros character, though that's thinking very far ahead.

Apparently, a Sonic movie has been confirmed...though I think it sounds fake...can't deny that the writer shortlist is amazing though, I wouldn't mind any of those guys writing a Sonic movie.

I believe Columbia is a branch of Sony Pictures, who filed domains for a Sonic movie. Regardless, it's more than likely fake. Not only dark and edgy, but live action? Sega has done some questionable things, but they're not stupid. Although, as you said, those are some great choices for writers. Also, considering that Sega is pushing more towards a light-hearted tone, especially with Sonic Boom being targeted to 6-11 years, it would be weird to have them make a dark and edgy film for older audiences.

If they want to pull off a movie then the Sonic Boom redesign better work out pretty well. I feel like Sonic as the person he is in games like Unleashed and 06 always had the potential to be a cool character, but he just came off really bland.

In '06, Sonic was terribly done, in Unleashed he was excellent, and the Storybook games stand as the perfect representation of his character, especially Black Knight. Lost World also did interesting things with him, and Sonic Battle did too.

In any other game, Sonic was campy or his character was simply there to entertain the younger crowd.

FINALLY, I'VE BEEN EAGER TO HEAR ABOUT THIS.

And it looks amazing. They legitimately made it feel more like a Zelda game and it looks great. Sonic also looks adorable in Link's outfit, and I'd love to see it as an alt costume in Smash Bros.

Sonic vs. Cuccos is going to be a prequel to Hyrule Warriors.

In other news, today's Smash Bros pic of the day features Sonic:

Bit of a bump, but I had to say this:

While playing Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright, I noticed that Wright's voice sounded different to UMvC3 and Dual Destinies. So I looked it up, and it turns out he's voiced by Roger Craig Smith.

Huh, go figure, I know he's voiced by the 2003 Donatello VA in Dual Destinies.
