Re: Rayman Legends
Lucky indeed, I hope they enjoyed their time though. I also caught eye of what they were holding, seemed to be based off this:

Re: Rayman Legends
I hope it will be found once on eBay.
Re: Rayman Legends
Oh it's not official if that's what you think - the girl made it and just had the chance to show it to Michel Ancel like that.

Hm, I had a suspicion that it was so, she did good.

Is there a place for one more person in the photo?Drolpiraat wrote:Oh boy. Another lucky fan.
Also, her puppet based up in a R1 artwork looks super cute!
I believe you've got a point. If this contest was done last year I would totally have no issues to travel but although in June I am in pre-holidays, I must go to school in the days (which are 6 in maximum) I get convoked for a final judgement of my semester works for a specific subject by judges, and I will only know the dates in endings of May so you can imagine. I have 11 days of break in April because of Easter but I am not sure if I'll be at home in that period of time or not or else I could use it to try to make something similar to my RO contest (except there are no fancharacters of course) but RL themed. Well, I'll see; thanks for convincing me, Droolie.Drolpiraat wrote:I totally understand - if I happen to win (it's very unlikely) I will have to cancel the trip in favour of my exams too. I'll be quite busy for uni in the coming month too, but I hope I can still draw something decent, and if I can't, I'll just submit some of my earlier art. If you don't have time, maybe you could do the same - that way your art will get judged by Ubisoft Montpellier anyway.
Which makes me wonder: will we get any Rayman announcement in the next E3? This is pure speculation because of the reusage of the painting parodies of R2 for the contest promotion (there's even one that we never saw before) but who knows?

Re: Rayman Legends
Huh, so there was, can't believe I glimpsed past that.
Either ways, it is curious as to why this has come up like so, maybe we're reading into it too deeply, but who can say at this point?

Re: Rayman Legends
Am i the only one seeing that 2 headed poodle in the background?
Re: Rayman Legends
I saw it too. Makes me wonder if it is something scrapped.
Re: Rayman Legends
Seems like it - the background is Olympus Maximus and it seems to be a parody of Kerberos/Cerberus, the three-headed dog.OldClassicGamer wrote:I saw it too. Makes me wonder if it is something scrapped.

You know what else has a 3 headed poodle Cerberus? PacMan and the Ghostly Adventures.Drolpiraat wrote:Seems like it - the background is Olympus Maximus and it seems to be a parody of Kerberos/Cerberus, the three-headed dog.OldClassicGamer wrote:I saw it too. But anyway, since we're on the topic of Olympus Maximus, I really don't like how little they actually did with the Greek theme for the world. The most they do with it is have a few cyclops statues in the boss level, have Minotaurs as enemies, and have only one level be set in anything resembling Greece. and that's really it. If they had stuck to the weird cyclops motif they had going on in all the concept art, then it would have been fine, but they really didn't take any of the opportunities they had with it.
That's how I feel about Legends in general, lots of promise, but not a whole lot of word on those promises.
Re: Rayman Legends
Lol, that was the very disappointing boss. Infact, all bosses from that game were way too freaking easy.Bionichute wrote:You know what else has a 3 headed poodle Cerberus? Re: Rayman Legends
Let us be honest, a giant 2 headed Poodle would be a much more fun boss for Olympus Maximus then Hades Hand.

I still liked the show and the game though.

Re: Rayman Legends
I don't know if I'll enter the contest. I just haven't been pleased with my 2D art recently at all, and while drawing probably isn't the only thing allowed and I'd probably do something 3D, I don't think I'd enjoy the prize as much as some other people might. I also haven't been fond of showcasing creations lately, especially in any kind of competition, because I always find a million and one ways that it doesn't match the quality of what I was going for.
Re: Rayman Legends
The bosses are only difficult at first galance. Once you've beated them once, they aren't really difficult. Sadly the RO bosses had the same issue.Bionichute wrote:Okay, yeah I have to agree with you there.OldClassicGamer wrote:Lol, that was the very disappointing boss. Re: Rayman Legends
I was actually referring to Pac-Man And The Ghostly Adventures bosses because Bionichute mentioned that in that game one of the bosses is 3 headed poodle Cerberus.
Re: Rayman Legends
Oh yeah you're right. I didn't read well. But I won't retire my opinion about the RL bosses.
Re: Rayman Legends
I share the same opinion for RL bosses too. It would be interesting if RL had boss rush mode without extra hearts.

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, I think a boss rush mode is something I'd like to see in many Rayman games, a marathon of Rayman 1 bosses would be staggeringly difficult, yet all the more awesome to behold methinks.
