I would of course buy such remake for R1 because anything with R1 is a must for my collection, but I would much prefer R1 HD remake that is fully 2D like EWJ for example than 2.5D. Oddworld always had 3D elements so it makes sense for remake to be in 2.5D, but for Rayman 1, 2D is a way to go in my opinion.

Just fake your age like Brad is doing :P
I was think about cheating with age. xD Okay, you have convinced me. By the way,my elder sister is 21, so....haha. :D
Haruka wrote:Maybe Ubisoft wants to prevent kids to participate but at the same time, I don't see why it cannot be 18 up.
Maybe 18 is young for them? :x Though I don't see their logic...

+1 The same here. I don't need these prizes,I just want to use such chance to show my drawings to Michel Ancel. ._. Or at least to see my lovely OC - Tod. (it was written that we can draw even our OC for this contest,if I'm not mistaken.)

Well, if you want to start off somewhere in the competitive area, you could always try and beat any RPC members who're still in the competition, there's a PSN thread in the members forum.

Alright, thanks :D I didn't knew that.

As for Rayman Origins: Also, I just finished Land of the Livid Dead, and I am bored of RO now. All I can do now, is to get more electoons to get Dark Rayman and that's it. Kind of cheap storyline as well imo. All in all, a solid game, but a game that gets very boring and repetetive after you have finished it. I am thinking about moving on to Legends now, idk if I will wait a couple of days, or what I am going to do honestly. The Magician being a "villain" at "The Reveal", and then right after, when you do a regular stage, everything's fine again, which is just hilarious imo. As far as the maps go in Origins, I would say that World 1 and 2 was the best ones imo. The other ones, especially Underwater World, I was not a huge fan of at all. Also, as a side note: You guys should have seen me when I played through Land of The Livid Dead. I raged so hard and almost threw my controller several times. I should honstly start a Twitch Face Cam Rage Rayman gameplay, lol. Must have died 200 times, seriously!

Really have high hopes for Rayman Legends, hope it can fill the parts Origins lacks.

Unfortunately RO tends to be boring once you've completed the game. The Land of the Livid Dead isn't really that hardcore once you manage to complete it at least once:

I like how that video is 4 and a half minutes of gameplay and 22 minutes of credits. Reminds me what a disappointment it was for me when I managed to die near the end of the credits and they started all over again. :pfff:

OMG, you just humiliated me :D :P lol
First, you make a walkthrough of Rayman 1 where you completed the PS1-version with about 5 more lives than me, and then you do completely make me look like a newbie Rayman-player. I both love you and hate you at the same time xD

@RaymanPS1 Don't think that I did not suffer in my first walkthrough! I remember that I took like 30 minutes to reach Big Mama and defeat her. I was upset by keeping dying and yet couldn't stop laughing about my mistakes.

Good to hear! What pisses me off with Rayman Origins, is the difficulty mentality, idk any other way to name it, but it is like when you are facing a huge challange like Big Mama, you have no clue what to do, and the more you die and get to play over and over, the easier it will be to beat it. At last it was barely a challange to beat Big Mama. It is more about getting used to the maps and what's next in the boss/level, rather than pure skill. This was just a minor thing I felt througout the whole game, from several of the bosses, and some levels and etc. :D That kinda blows.

Also, I believe I made you replay Rayman 1 with my Rayman 1 Competition Topic, Haruka. Is that correct? I really had high hopes for it, but I struggled to get the emulator up and running and other users as well. You guys think there is any hope in the future for it to be a thing again?
I managed to complete Rayman 1 on PS1 with 89 lives I remember. When Haruka beat me, I was like.. Ok.. The master won.. lol
PRAISE HARUKA! THE TRUE CHAMPION! :mryellow: :mryellow:

I played it two times myself. Take into consideration that this is 3-4 years ago already. But, I played through Rayman 1 and finished it with 45 lives first time, and then other time, when I knew all cage locations and most of life locations, I finished with 89, which I thought Haruka no way could beat, and then she just came with the walkthrough, she took my challenge ( I believe it was my Rayman 1 Challange), and probably laughed so hard at me, beating me.

I think that was about the time, when I left Pirate Community for these years. I stopped by two-three times I believe. I don't know. I guess I am here to talk to you guys about Origins and Legends, and now also Rémi Gazel. Rayman 1 Competition could maybe be a thing, any ideas? After my mission here is completed, and I have got all the answers I needed + bored of Rayman Origins and Legends, then I will probably leave until next Rayman Game will be announced, and then the hype begins all over again. I don't know.

Well, I doubt she had any target in mind when she remastered her walkthrough, she does have a lot of experience with many games of old at this point.

Don't come up my face and claim that you can just chill out and complete Rayman 1 on PS1 with 90+ lives. :P It takes focus and I really do believe you have to have a target to play more or less flawless in order to succeed like that. I believe that we had this competition going on where we planned to outscore each other, all users that participated, with one category for most lives and one for fastest time completed. :D (I am not sure though) :P

I certainly can't do something like that, what I'm stating is that Haruka is one of the better players here in regards to Rayman 1. As such, I'm not wholly convinced that her achievement was born out of a competitive need.

I doubt it was competitive need, and I think she did it just for fun.
