I never said it was competetive needs. But Haruka already had a walkthrough of Rayman 1 from before, so I believe it was the intention to do better the second time. Enough about this, Haruka is probably the best player on Pirate Community, and we should move on to what this topic is all about.OldClassicGamer wrote:@RaymanPS1
I doubt it was competitive need, and I think she did it just for fun.

Re: Rayman Legends
Concurred, so, how's Legends going for ya?
Re: Rayman Legends
To make things clear, I just remastered my walkthrough of R1 PS1 because I just wanted to aim for a video with better sound quality, video quality and gameplay quality. I didn't have any competition in mind.
Moving on, I also want to hear (better said, to read) your opinions about Legends.

Well, glad you want to hear my opinions about the games.Haruka wrote:Moving on, I also want to hear (better said, to read) your opinions about Legends.
Re: Rayman Legends
Dark Rayman and Raymesis are not same, proven in Legends because real Dark Ray has different color and he can chase Raymesis actually on chase levels.
Raymesis was however nicknamed DarkRay in Origins by Bubble Dreamer because he resembles real Dark Ray. He also made fun of him there

Re: Rayman Legends
It's funny. Rayman and DarkRay are completely identical, minus the different color scheme, yet Polokus still considers DarkRay hideous.
Re: Rayman Legends
Maybe Polokus considers Rayman hideous too
I don't remember that he ever complimented Rayman. Plus, Rayman's wife did consider Rayman hideous after he stopped being bald.

Re: Rayman Legends
I don't think that mosaic is canon.
Re: Rayman Legends
Even if it's not canon, I just used it as an example that it is possible that other people consider Rayman to be hideous looking, since Polokus did say that to Raymesis who looks pretty much same as Rayman except different color. Still, I think both Rayman and Raymesis and even real Dark Ray are very cool looking characters.
As for mosaic, well even Rayman 1 showed Rayman's hair to be alive on the main menu screen so at least that aspect is canon even if full story from mosaic probably isn't

Re: Rayman Legends
Hmm, this is more headcanon territory at this point, I don't actually refer to the Magician as Ales Mansay, even if that was the intention prior. As for the Mosaic, I tend to pass it off as one of the Teensie's wild theories that were mentioned in regards to the story of Globox being blue. Again, it's headcanon, but I try to use pre-existing means to pass it off.
The Rayman series doesn't really have a properly solid world, perhaps it might have at some point in the past, but that's not the case now. There's contradictions and continuity incompatibilities all over, all we really can do is take what we've gotten so far from the series, and interpret it in our own ways. And in a way, I guess maybe that's one of the interesting aspects of the series, the way we can all have differing perspectives, how it can differ over the years, and yet still have a good spirit behind it, and some familiar aspect.

Re: Rayman Legends
My headcanon is that those mosaics are just Teensie theories/stories, like Master said.
Re: Rayman Legends
Conclusion:
Even if Rayman's "wife" from mosaic is probably not real, it probably gives a hint that Teensies consider Rayman hideous or else they would not make story where a character made up by them thinks that about Rayman when he got hair.

Re: Rayman Legends
That wouldn't surprise me knowing how sometimes Rayman is treated by the Teensies:

Re: Rayman Legends
Though it's a straight out fact... DarkRay is hideous.

Re: Rayman Legends
Funny how the Teensies regard Rayman as the hero he is yet they act like jackasses around him.
Re: Rayman Legends
Or how Polokus is some mighty god, but he chooses to chill with his creations. That's rad to me.

Who said Gods can't enjoy?
His facial expression when he is ready to attack in first Origins cinematics is priceless too:
