I never tested the LAN in real, but I've tried to simulate one with Hamachi along with Drolpiraat and no avail. If RM/A was playable online, it would be cool to make tournments and see who was the best in the community in different game modes.

Hmm, what with some of the revived hacking efforts of late, perhaps something might come up, I'm all for competing with more of you folks.

Does PCSX2 owns a functionality to emulate online multiplayer? I know there was an N64 emulator that could do that with an add-on.

With correct plugins it can:

NES, SNES, KEGA Fusion, MAME 32, ePSXe and of course like you mentioned Project 64
can as well.
Dolphin can too but I heared that online is terrible. Perhaps it will be improved when Ninty shuts down servers.
NDS Emulator also should have netplay.

I should explore that PCSX2 possibility. If someone else is interested in making an experiment, feel free to tell me!

I experiment myself a lot about compatibility on PCSX2 and try many different settings for many games so trying online for the first time would be cool. I am definitely interested ;)

Yeah, hello everyone, by the way! I've been very absent because I didn't quite like RL that much and I grow tired of the new style of the saga... Still better than Rabbids though.

So the LAN mode doesn't work? Then why was it implemented in the first place? There has to be a way to make it work so we can play! Also is there a way to hack textures? I'd rather have Henchman 800 in other colors than random skins, and I'd love to have an Uglette texture.

Edit: Just tried Popolopoï mode for the first time ever! It's so much fun!

Ahaha you've never played it before, I see - you'll love Lums mode too. ;)

Texture hacking is something that probably requires great skill, but I like your ideas on the skins. There's one Henchman 800 skin I do love and that's [a sort of golden Foutchy-styled bad-ass].

If the software we use for extracting textures would import them that would be badass.

Well, obviously, but that would mean that the software was integrated with the game, which would mean it'd basically be a Rayman M mod at that point.

Anyone up for the job?

I wasn't really sure what would be the best place to share this although it is a bit linked to it. It isn't really anything special but I thought it would be fun to share.

I was playing Rayman M with Clara and Arz a few days ago and Arz at a point named Teensies as "Deesnies" by mistake. The thing is, me and Clara were not seeing coming the lovely graphical representation that he decided to do. The result was a laughter attack!

After literally 6 or 7 years I finally managed to get Rayman M working on my pc! :O
On windows 7 it didn't work at all, and at windows 8 it had strange graphical issues
Because of the recent activity on this topic I just decided to try again and I remembered that with Rayman 3 I had similar issues and I had to go to the directx setup of the game and uncheck lighting and stuff.
So I looked if Rayman M had the same function and it did. So now I'm like really happy, because after all those years I can finally play this game once again! :D

Going through my old Rayman Zone rolesfamily (10 year old) documents, I found a post I made back on RZ with me giving some tips for Rayman M!

Listen to the wise words of rolesfamily!! Although I was quite a pro at Rayman M back in the day. I've got the gold on first ruins on this forum I believe! (time wise)

Enjoy:

PLEASE MAKE STIKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
any way on 1,000 waterfalls near the begining after you have gone past the water bit with the big fat poles that go up and down well then after the lazers you will come to the big walls and you jump on each one but don't do this to your left is a water fall go through here and you will see Globite on the beach(by the way I have Rayman M for ps2 so I don't know if it works on any other consil?? and if you have Rayman Rush have a go at what I just said it might work just see :? )

Hint 2:

on tresure ship at the bejining with all the lums(swing ones) well start useing the ones on your left hand side you will see a button on each mast hit one and you should see that the plackforms on you left hand side have appeared then get back on the lum get on each plackform till the end the you will end up in a corridoor and then ceep on going till you have got to the end!!!
