Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Sorry about that. Well nonetheless, it's still a great game.

Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Hmm, 3DS...ever try out Luigi's Mansion 2?
Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
So now that I completed Super Mario 3D Land, I'm in need of a new 3DS game.
Should I go with Mario Kart 7 or Animal Crossing: New Leaf?

Mario Kart 7
Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Depends, if you've got friends with 3DSs then Mario Kart will be infinitely more fun I think, I can't comment on Animal Crossing as I've never played it, but I never found Mario Kart 7 to be much fun in single player.
As I have heard is the case with all the games, they made it really easy then "balanced" it with powerups that reward random luck. Eh I prefer Lego Racers

Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
I have been playing around with Tempest 2000 for the Sega Saturn. I know it was originally released for the Atari Jaguar, but I don't have an Atari Jaguar and I don't feel like playing on emulators.

Expand on your suggestion, please.OldClassicGamer wrote:Mario Kart 7
I see. Well my friend does have both MK7 and ACNL, though I'm going with the latter since I've been hearing really good things about it.MrBadGuy wrote:Depends, if you've got friends with 3DSs then Mario Kart will be infinitely more fun I think, I can't comment on Animal Crossing as I've never played it, but I never found Mario Kart 7 to be much fun in single player.

Whoop-Whoo! Just got a $40 Amazon Gift Card!

So, anybody got good suggestions for a 3DS game? I already have Luigi's Mansion, Super Mario 3D Land, Animal Crossing, Mario Kart 7, Rayman 3D, and Tomodachi Life. I like platformers and other things except RPGs. Suggest away!

Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Hmm, with the impending Smash release, could you save it up for that?
Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Kid Icarus: Uprising!!! Or what Master said.
Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Already Pre-Ordered Smash at Gamestop. So that one's out of the question.
Kid Icarus? Hmmm...That one's going to the suggestion box!

Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
I fully recommend Kid Icarus: Uprising. It's quite literally one of the best handheld games I've ever played.
The new Smash Bros is also borrowing quite a few mechanics from it, so it would serve as a warm-up for Smash in some ways, as well as clue you in on Pit, Pittoo, and Palutena, who are all playable in the upcoming Smash game.

Good points you got there, Brawler!
Another point to Kid Icarus! What other game shall come up? Or shall Kid Icarus win?
EDIT: Saw the price for the game that's brand new. It's $65 dollars! Yeesh, I guess I have to go with it used if it wins.

Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
I also recommend Kirby: Triple Deluxe if you haven't picked it up already, one of the most fun Kirby games IMO.
Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Hmm, I guess. But so far Icarus is winning. Also, take note that I find any of the previous suggestions fun, but it helps when others suggest one more than the other.
Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Okay so I bought Rayman Origins and Donkey Kong Country Returns for the 3DS because Kid Icarus was priced too Damn high.
Anyways, the Smash Sale Nintendo is doing has Mega Man listed next week. So I'm presuming that the NES games would go on sale. This leads to my question: Which Mega Man game from the NES is best and/or more fun?

Was Ratched and Clank already recommanded? If no, I dare you check out the first 3 main games for PS2. And those has been put in a bundle remastered in HD for PS3, I highly recommand you to check that out!

*Recommended (sorry, I've been seeing that one crop up one time too many)
Hmm, from what I've seen no, recommendations here have often been given in response to a member asking for them, with a given criteria. Still, if anyone does own a PS2, I'd recommend them too, alongside the Jak and Sly series.

Re: The Video Game Recommendation Thread
Bumping, to get some recommendations.
Seeing as I've now switched to PC gaming, I've wanted to give RTS games a shot. I've also gone ahead and downloaded this weekend's title on Steam, which is a Civilisation game. I know Humch and others play Age of Empires, so you folks got any other recommendations for this newbie?

Hmm, how about Banished? http://store.steampowered.com/app/242920/
I heard about it from LGR, and from what I've played I do like it.
