Re: Rayman himself
This may be random but, how do you think Rayman eats? Does he have a stomach inside his head? Or does he have a portal inside his neck that transports food to his stomach? He is one fascinating being

Re: Rayman himself
One answer. He is Rayman. What is to be expected. He can do anything.

OF COURSE! *cue M. Bison turning around from screen towards audience*OldClassicGamer wrote:One answer. He is Rayman.
IT WAS SO OBVIOUS! Rayman is the Batman of the video game world!
Alucard is the Batman of the anime world, Deathstroke is the Batman of the villain world, and Rayman is the Batman of the video game world!

No, silly. Batman is the Batman of the comic world.Master wrote:I thought Batman was the Batman of the video game world.
Wrong! Batman is the Batman of the Batman world.
Or maybe Batman is the Batman of the world itself?

Re: Rayman himself
Rayman Advance made a brief appearance as one of the clips for this DYK:
Other than that, standard DYK stuff, interesting as ever.

Re: Rayman himself
I've always wondered if people ever speculated a name for his race, has this been discussed in the forums yet?
I know he's possibly not even a race but I myself can't even get his origin in my mind, it's too hazy for me at the moment.

Re: Rayman himself
That has been discussed several times. Origins kinda contributed for a confusion with the "Tingamajig" term, especially for non-English natives who didn't know that it was a word that exists for real and it is in the English dictionary. While there's no official definition for Rayman's species, I personally name it (warning, as a fan-term), as a "Limbless".

Re: Rayman himself
I say "limbless being" or "member of Rayman's species".

Re: Rayman himself
Meh, I don't think I default to any one term, I guess I'd just go with "Rayman's species." As bland as it sounds. I remember people used to call them "Raymanians" or "Rayians" in days old, always did wonder what came of that habit.

Re: Rayman himself
I call his sort Raypeople and that makes Rayman a Rayperson, although his case specifically is a bit fickle, since he is Rayman, as in, the Rayman.
Re: Rayman himself
I prefer thingamajig, mostly because it's fun to say.
Re: Rayman himself
I tend to avoid calling naming the species 'limbless', as it seems in Rayman 1 that there are many more limbless species than just Rayman's.

Re: Rayman himself
I prefer the expression Raypeople. And all Raypeople obey their god Michael Ancel
Re: Rayman himself
I call them "Raythingies" because I can't think of a better name for them. In my upcoming fangame, however, they won't really go by any name and will only be referred to as "the limbless ones".

Couldn't find the proper topic for this but here, enjoy.
