+/- Bought an Elgato Game Capture HD off of my friend today. I finally have one of these to myself. However, I have no immediate plans for what I could record. Guess I'll continue trying to search for the perfect video quality on YouTube before I even consider anything.

+ Hung out with that friend for a while, it was nice.

+/- Pre-ordered Mario Kart 8, but they apparently are out of stock for the limited edition that comes with the Spiny Shell Statue. I'll have to check back shortly before release and cancel the order if they don't have it by then.

- Having random bouts of uncertainty and even mini identity crises. I should be feeling completely carefree, yet I still find myself feeling sad and agitated deep inside. I suppose I kind of get why I feel this way, but I still feel stupid to let myself feel like this, especially since I have four months to do whatever I want ahead of me.

+ I'm thoroughly enjoying my migration to Cubase. I've only made two rough tracks so far, even if only with the relatively bad preset sounds/instruments, but I like how similar it is to Logic, and I even like the mixer (specifically the inserts portion) better than Logic's.

- Since I'm fucking retarded and accidentally and literally deleted the Windows install files on my Komplete 8 Ultimate drive, I have to order in a replacement which will probably cost around a hundred dollars. They said their support mail was crowded for the time being and to sit tight for a few days for a response, but it's been just about a week already, and I can't really do something worth anything in Cubase until I've got that replacement hard drive.

I even initially suggested we put tracking collars onto them, and the response was a "no, that's not necessary". Seriously, my mother may be an animal lover and I'm in support of many of the fabrications that get written down when accepting a pet from the rescue shelter (they don't want your pet going outside at all, for example), but one of the number one rules is to not leave small spaces open you can't get into yourself, and even after it already happened once, no extra measures were taken. I'm pretty sure Auri's gone now. I was up for at least two or three hours crying last night, I love them so much. Dido, Auri's brother, has been stuck to me, meow-crying for pretty much the entire day as well, he's devastated. Naturally it's put me in a bad mood today, but everyone else in this house is totally perky, as if nothing's happened, and my brother some-hell-how interpreted my 'annoyed/lifeless voice' as an attack against him.

Well, Dido will certainly be getting a tracking collar. This is completely unacceptable.

Damn. I know this is quite late, but I'm quite sorry this happened. I know I would be devastated if anything happened to my dog, especially if it happened like this.

- Internet at the house cut out, and the soonest a technician can come is Friday (even though we don't think it's a problem on our end).
- My measly 2GB of phone data is also used up, so I effectively have no internet access at my house at all.
- Lost both pairs of my headphones, so I'm forced to use shitty ones now.
- Lots of homework.

+ We're getting a massive break (-ish. "Edumacation Beyond the Classroom" week where we work on a short film about zombies. Should be fun, though.)
+ Latest Walking Dead Game episode was quite good, the best one yet in my opinion. (Anyone who hasn't played this game yet should. It's easily one of the best games ever made, with possibly the best [or one of the best] narrative ever featured in a video game.)
- We won't see another one for another two months, and, as always, it's got a cliffhanger (albeit satisfying) ending.
- Internet still doesn't work.
- For some reason, my capture card won't work without internet access.
- The SCART to HDMI box I got sucks ass.
- Fuck.

± I got word today that I'll be in Vietnam for the last week-and-a-half in July as part of the Irish team for the International Chemistry Olympiad.
- That means I have to "keep the first two weeks of July free" for training - all in all, it looks like I'll miss Record Day yet again.
+ At least everyone else seems happy about it here.
- That is, probably until I tell my mother… Don't get me wrong, she's very supportive, but she won't be happy about my being gone for so long.
