< is sorry if you got that impression. < wasn't expelled/suspended or anything, it's just that <'s year were sent home today (since we are "graduating" next week anyway). We all expected to have one or two more days, so it was kind of a shock for us all.
The "effectively" is because we can go back in and study if we want to after Monday, and then we have the exams in a few weeks, after which we will be really finished.

Ahhh. Is ^ graduating from his school, i.e. never coming back there after the exams? That must be exciting and at the same time really weird for ^ - it was for <, < can remember.

< was really emotional early today because, as < mentioned, it came as a shock to be sent home two days early.

< wonders what experience ^ had.

It was pretty weird, yeah, especially because < realised < wouldn't be seeing lots of people again for, probably, forever, really, which is quite strange. People moving off to England, China, etc. or just going to the other side of the country - people < never really had a close connection to, but knew < would miss when they left.
It was equally weird because < had music class, which meant < and a bunch of others went out in a big bang finale with singing the Phantom of the Opera in a church (the acoustics, such wow!), bowing, leaving the stage and just... leaving, basically. Very Ood.

But < made new friends on Uni and < has met up with several people from <'s previous school since, so it's all still fun and games, really. < enjoys keeping contact with one particular person < was kind of close but not really close with, as < feels we grow a bit closer now we don't see each other each and every day, which is somewhat paradoxical, < realises.

Basically, it's just strange, but it's all quite nice in the long run.
