Nice, though I'm curious how you plan to make the cheeks prominent in the real thing.

Re: Rayman plush plans
Well, like I said, I still need to think about it. I'm not sure yet. I'd really like for them to be prominent in the real thing. So, right now I'm curious as to how other people think they could work.

Hmm, textiles aren't my thing, I can't really do anything but make positive comments and give encouragement.

Fair enough.
Re: Rayman plush plans
Aw, how cute is that? Rayman's nose looks like a taffy. (Take that as an courtesy.)Earth Gwee wrote:Here are some drawings with a more refined study of the head.

The cheeks are still needing some work. If they're going to be shaped this way, I need to make them in pieces to get the shape I want. But that's still going to require a lot of thinking, as the pieces themselves need to be shaped a certain way. Thoughts?

Here's a more updated version of the previous sketch page with a more finalized facial design. http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs71/f/2013/ ... 6is39m.png I've also decided to remove the cheeks and lip for now until I think of a better design for them.

Re: Rayman plush plans
Decided to update those traditional drawings from several months ago.

I have high hopes for this plushie project of yours. I understand the immense challenge that comes with this medium as I've actually sewn a doll of the Hoodoo Sorcerer from Rayman 3. Of course, it turned out a bit more messy than I intended, but the experience was certainly one to be remembered and cherished.
I'm sure your plush will turn out wonderful!

Hoodlum plush toys. Did Ubisoft took advantage of that idea?
Re: Rayman plush plans
Don't think so. It's a shame that the whole black lums / hoodlums concept didn't really stick that much within the Rayman universe... But I'm noticing how difficult it is for any character(s) to remain consistent throughout the series if their names aren't Rayman, Globox, or Murphy.
But this is all off-topic. Rayman plushes are conceptually a daunting task because you have the issue of a limbless character. So the answer to that was just having Rayman attached or holding onto something... And as for the R3 plushes... I wish.

Yeah. It's a shame we don't see alot of the old cast that often. I mean most villains survive the games they are from and are prime for a comeback. And the supporting cast from 1 and 2 could use some fleshing out.
But still Hoodlum plush toys would be a good merchandise idea. just like a warrior princess Barbara doll line.

Very much so! I'm confident your Rayman plush will be spectacular, Gwee! Of course my plush didn't turn out as great as I would have hoped - it certainly could've turned out much worse.
(I would totally take plush commissions of the HooDoo Sorcerer doll, by the way)

Here's a trial of Rayman's body. The pattern's not final.

Wow! Amazing! Makes me wonder why nobody has done that before, what with the Hoodlums essentially giant, sentient, evil dolls.
Also, on the topic of the Rayman plush, I am excited to see how this turns out! It looks like it's gonna be good. It also looks like it'll be a hard thing to make, so good luck!
