Well, that was an Atari game, so maybe they put some text from whatever development prototype they had into the Jaguar SDK (assuming there was such a thing) as an example?RibShark wrote:So looking though some stuff in the prototype ROM, me and Got4n have found some text belonging to a game called "Hover Strike", which came out in December 1995, 3 months after Rayman. Doesn't seem to have any relation to UbiSoft, so I have no idea why it is in there, but it is.

Meh, I can't say I'm for that synthesised remix, it's not bad, just not for me.
Re: Rayman 1
That's epic. Just the music for me, it's like from an old retro game.WeshKanapesh wrote:I found an neat remix : https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... IAHo#t=449

Re: Rayman 1
Aside from the fact that it's utilising far more polyphony than an NES could actually produce, as well as stereo/decay effects that make it sound like a chiptune remix and not even close to what an NES/retro game would actually sound like.Raymanni wrote:it's like from an old retro game.

The jaguar soundtrack does not remind me of the remix really much, it's much more duller in my opinion. Has anyone made a mid version of the full R1 soundtrack?technology4617 wrote: http://hosting.raymanpc.com/raytunes/#r1jag

I don't think so, but that could be a fun little project. In fact, I want to start on that right now.

Re: Rayman 1
What would be really awesome is if someone could produce it on an actual NES sound chip. That'd be interesting.
Re: Rayman 1
That's why I asked, because I have a program that can change any midi file into nes music. I'm not sure if it is correctly 8-bit, but at least it sounds like it very very much.technology4617 wrote:What would be really awesome is if someone could produce it on an actual NES sound chip. Really?
If you're going to lie about whether you played the game on real hardware, at least do it convincingly.

This is not gonna fool anyone. Why not honestly tell it is emulator?

It actually fooled me for a second, but when you take a closer look, it's more than obvious. The sound is also slightly different than what a real PS1 would sound like.OldClassicGamer wrote:This is not gonna fool anyone. Why not honestly tell it is emulator?

You banned someone just because he revealed truth for video?
Also, banning him will just make you not be able to see comments, he can still comment and reply to other people's comments on your videos
I know because I banned some troll once.

Re: Rayman 1
So you do admit to using emulation, considering you said for him to stop revealing you, and also took action to block him from commenting on your channel. (Which I honestly doubt will phase him any.)Fifo wrote:Please stop revealing info.
And, great job, you're now banned from my YouTube channel.

I can give a dozen of hints that both videos are faked.
Thanks to me ;Dtechnology4617 wrote: It actually fooled me for a second, but when you take a closer look, it's more than obvious. The sound is also slightly different than what a real PS1 would sound like.
