A Sorry to the Pirate Community!

Post by Snagglebee »

Dear Pirate Community,
as you all know, I am emshomar, the maker of Rayman Optimum/Mega Patch and other Rayman related patches. I want to briefly explain my past here to all new members that joined afterwards.
About a year ago, I started to completely acting impolite, rude and not very friendly to other members of this beautiful community. I disrespected many people and nearly did what I liked to do. Because of my unwanted behaviour I went through a lot of trouble. Thanks to Adsolution's punishment on me, I finally started to think. If it wasn't Adsolution I would be still very much not like today and I would still have no still friends at all and I would have stayed a lonely boy with probably psychological problems. The Staff of this Forum opened my eyes and lead me to think why everybody didn't liked me!
After this point my whole life has changed to good and I became a respected member of this community.
Today, after almost a year, I watched myself in the past and I really feel bad. I feel bad for not having apologised to everybody of you who I caused trouble with.

To Adsolution: Hello Adsolution! Without your strong word against my evil myself I would have probably never change until today. You know you are awsome in making beautiful video games (ROTD) and you are an awsome singer! Even if we didn't share the same opinion and I completely disrespected you in the past (now I do very much), I thank you a lot for changing my life to good!

To Haruka: Howdy there! You have been the first member I could get to know. I know I behaved myself extremely bad to you and I often booned for you for no reason too much. Yet you ignored that and tryed to forgive me. You are a breathtaking Rayman player and probably the best for the complete Rayman franchise. I was trying to be friendly, but I failed so badly due to my past evil myself. I am very sorry for all the inconveniences I made.

To Master: My dearest Master! I know you were just trying to help me. You always have been there when I got into troubles and tryed to solve this out. But because of that, I did have repected you for that all the time through though. I really thank you for that Master!

To Serza5: Hi my Scottish friend! I hope you are having a good time. Well even if we weren't at the same level I do still want to apologise to everything I caused you trouble.

To Rulez: My lovely commedian Rulez! We had a lot of fightings here, hadn't we? I want to let you know, that I didn't respect your personal opinion and I am really really sorry for that. I hope you can forgive.

And a million apologises to the whole Rayman Pirate Community!

(I hope you are reading this Fifo) Punishments aren't made to make people suffer! They are made to change people for good, like me for example.
I hope you all can forgive my bad treatments to you. I want to finally complete with my past and never ever come to that point where I have been.

My best sincerly,
emshomar

Ah, no worries, if there was any apology due, it was already shown through your improvement. I hardly remember what happened last year! And to be honest, I don't think I even handled it all too well, but everyone's intent was to bring out the best in you, and that's what we've seen now! :)

It was similar to myself and some of the previous staff from 2-4 years ago, they've played a nice role in helping me personally. Tobbe is actually the reason I became an Atheist, though I'm not going to assume I wouldn't have ever come to that conclusion on my own accord, he probably just led me along the right path.

Thanks for mentioning me. I know that punishments help. I’ll NEVER be avoiding bans or trying to cheat anymore.

I think nobody sees you badly at this point, omar. And adding to that, you did a great contribution by bringing a fully workable patch for the MS-DOS Rayman games and the 64 bits patches for R2 and RM. I'm glad you improved and you probably saw already the benefits of such. ;)

Yeah, I already responded to your concern via the PM you sent, but I might as well reaffirm it in the open, I don't think you need to apologise for your past actions, Em. You've more than proven your good intentions with your conduct as a member of the community ever since.

@emshomar: By the time I joined this site you already seemed pretty swell when I first saw you post so I suppose I can say you're perfectly fine now, regardless of how you were before. So don't worry about it anymore!

As an observer, I don't really think you have any need to apologize at this point, and I think pretty much everyone here acted pretty shittily during their first year, and, anyway, most people act like anus hairs from time to time. ;)

I'm more offended that you got my numbers wrong than anything you did before. :( But thanks for the apology-ness.

I find it very mature from you that you apologise :)

Maybe we can implement this thread for everyone who acted badly and wants to apologise?
