My friend listens to theme from Sonic Adventure at the gym. Is that amusing? Haha, I suppose it would be good for running.

Van has already said that the movie won't even have a trailer ready for Comic-Con (but he will be attending Comic-Con).

@roles: Get back to me when he's using treadmills to "Gotta Go Fast" from Sonic X. :P

I've always found it rather inspiring on how passionate Mike Pollock is about the Sonic franchise, it makes me even more glad that he never got replaced during the last VA change.

Say what you will about the Sonic franchise and it's fandom, but no other video game franchise has been enjoying the kind of fandomxofficials relationship the Sonic franchise has been enjoying for the last 5 or 6 years.

Really happy to be a part of this fandom right now! :D

Sonic fans on RPC are only good Sonic fans I met :/
And of course voice Actors too, although besides Mike, I don't have anyone else in my contacts on FB. Tried finding Roger but he set his account to private. Well, it is his right.

Eh, I find its the more the internet fandom (y'know, outside places like RPC) that can be irksome, and even then most fans still pretty normal. What people really don't like about the fandom are the dorks that make "original characters" of the franchise on deviantart and when people argue which Sonic Generation (pun intended) was best.

So do any of you guys remember the long dead Sonic 2 HD Project?

Well, I was on Facebook, and their page posted this:
Hello everyone!
The only thing more surprising than seeing an official post from us here is our announcing that S2HD is no longer dead.
You read that correctly: work has once again begun on Sonic 2 HD! That said, we'd like to give you all a brief tie-in for recent events leading to the project's reboot.
As many of you know, the leading reason behind the project's cancellation was due to the programming element being removed with no possibility of return in its existing form. As of last year, this changed. Before anyone raises the question, no, the former programmer and the S2HD team members have not had a reunion; instead, a fan of the project independently created and submitted his own engine to Vincent, the project leader, for evaluation. After integrating the art assets from the alpha release and successfully testing it, Vincent began to let the rest of the prior team members know, and we've picked up where we left off sans those who are unavailable due to real life obligations. Two other talented programmers have since offered their skills to recreate the game's physics to match the original, and to port the game to the Mac OS platform (the latter of which is still in the earliest possible stage, and we have no estimate on when it will be playable, so stay tuned!).
In response to some of the questions we have seen, the Alpha Release build is officially discontinued and will not get any form of support as we do not have the source code. The next release will be entirely new programming from the ground up.
We'll provide more details in how you can help us out in the next few days. It's good to be back!

That's marvellous to hear! After all the doom and gloom from the end of the S2HD project thanks to that programmer controversy, the project rises from the ashes anew. It's inspiring indeed.

Sonic.exe is just a terrible creepypasta, however, there is one piece of artwork that came of it that I absolutely hate and find really disturbing (though I don't get as disturbed as I used to from it).

Since the Steam Summer sale is on, you can get the Sonic franchise bundle for 50% off.

Also, if you want the Steam version of Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed on it's own, it's currently on the Flash Sale! It's 75% off, as is it's DLC. There's only two hours left, but you could buy the game and all of it's DLC for a mere €7!

Yeah, especially when it's coupled with screaming noises and popping up suddenly.

Again, the creepypasta is pathetic, but that image is one scary thing that came out of it.

Sonic Generations costs about €30 on it's own on Steam.

The Sonic Franchise bundle normally costs €50, but is €24.99 right now.

If you're getting the franchise bundle, you are getting it for it's overall great value since you get all of the modern Sonic games that are on Steam, plus DLC. The fact you get the originals is just extra fluff that may as well be free, as paying €50 for just Generations, the Racing games, Taxman's CD remake, and the Adventure games is MORE than worth it as is.

Meh, 50€ is too much for my taste. If I am about to get the Sonic games on Steam, I would wait for such a deal to come back:

Almost all Sonic games at steam with DLCs for only 7€
