Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
Perhaps it's the severe lack of story that makes it so disappointing that the rest of the game is so amazingly fantasmagorically awesome. Perhaps the disappointment was too much for my pants to bear!

I seriously don't see how story really adds to games if the gameplay is good enough in my pants.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
Hehe, and I love them, too. Make no mistake, for the qualms I have with the UbiArt saga, I still think they're good games that do deserve the Rayman title. I'm just a bit torn on a few aspects, in my pants.
I think the one that really gets me, is to do with lore. Rayman 2 might have basic gameplay by today's standards, but it built up the Glade of Dreams to a degree no other title in the series has come close to, with its Knowledge of the World. I like games with world building, hence why I thoroughly enjoyed the Scanning ability in the Metroid Prime series. The issue I guess I have with the UbiArt saga in particular, is how it seems to forsake the world built previously. I guess to put it in summary, it's still the Glade of Dreams canonically, but it doesn't feel like the same Glade of Dreams, in my pants.
Negativity aside though, Origins and Legends' gameplay is pretty fun and easy to drop into. And they're made with a lot of joy and enthusiasm, which I'm glad about, given how cynically cashed in some franchises can feel.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
It's very fuzzy in my pants. Story isn't everything. But with Rayman all games have had a strong (sometimes implicit) narrative, when it comes to the games I really enjoyed. Legends lacks that. Origins lacked it, but it wasn't so fabulously fantastic in all other regards. Don't get my pants wrong. Origins is a great game and I loved its appearance and music, level design, etc.. Legends, however, is a big step up from that, going skywards in all regards. And then suddenly its one, crucial flaw that didn't matter so much for Origins but was still present in Legends, springs forwards and presents itself like a shady grease monkey. And the one thing I love about Rayman games, the one thing that Legends does not have, makes my opinion of the game so weirded out that I can't bring myself to continue playing it.
It's insane perhaps, I realise, but that's just how my heart in my pants feels about its pants.

To their own in their pants. It just bugs when members aren't that open minded to the capability that the UbiArt style has to offer in its pants.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
I know it seems we whine a little about Origins and Legends at times, but don't get us wrong. We (or atleast myself), have thoroughly enjoyed Origins and Legends, and I do hope some of the aspects of the UbiArt series continue to be used. I guess the difference lies in what individual aspects we each feel are integral, or indeed, what draws us each into the series, in our pants.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
No but don't your pants see? The style isn't the problem. It's the direction the characters went in, the place the Rayman world, my Rayman world went to. It doesn't feel right. It doesn't feel Rayman.
Child of Light, for example, is another game made with the UbiArt engine, and it seems to me as a fantastic game. Origins, like I said, was an incredibly enjoyable game. But seeing Legends, a product of so much hard effort and love, and not liking it because of ... something I can't explain from my pants, it, well, basically, it breaks my heart.
I'd love to see a Rayman game I enjoy from the UbiArt engine. I don't see why I don't relish the thought of playing Legends either, but my pants are repelled by it like it's the Dark Side of the Force exercising a Choke Hold on me.

Hmm, I think we're coming on too strong, my apologies if I was being overtly aggressive with my own preference, in my pants.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
My pants and I would like to take this opportunity to state that none of the chase levels in Rayman 1 come anywhere close to the difficulty of those blasted treasure-chest maps in Origins, in their pants!
I know this is just opinion, in my pants, but that sentence was awkwardly-worded enough without integrating that fact into it, in its pants!

I always found Origins had the right balance of difficulty in my pants.

I agree, in my pants. Though Tricky Treasure Too and Mecha No Mistake Speedrun are probably the hardest Rayman's ever gotten.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
Geesus yes. Figuring out that the Land of the Livid dead is actually an on-hit musical level is pretty cool and helps out with getting the level completed easily. I believe it must have been the inspiration to make those song-based on-hit levels in Leg--
you know what. I'm going to pick it up and play it!

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
Hmm, that it is, in its pants. Though I think when it comes to which OST has the most of my favourites, I'd probably say it's Rayman 3's, I really love some of the themes used in the Fairy Council, the combat themes, Reflux's Battle theme, the themes for the Summit Beyond the Clouds, and so on.
Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
My favorite from 3 has to be the Hoodoo Hoodlum's theme in its pants.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
Mmm, I don't think I agree with Master in my pants.
I think Rayman 1 along with Rayman 2 have the best soundtracks in my pants.
Rayman 1 is just amazing, all the different melodies, harmonies, they work together in my pants.
And the melodies from Rayman 2 are stuck in my head as well, especially the main theme and the woods of light in my pants.
As for Rayman 3, the only theme I can personally really remember is the Fairy Council theme and the Begoniax Theme.

Re: "....... In My Pants" Game
I have to disagree with you on Rayman 2, I never found its soundtrack as memorable or catchy as the soundtracks the other games had in their pants.
