Re: Cartoon Shows
I won't be able to follow it for the time being, but I managed to see the first three episodes, I think they've started off quite strong indeed. Though I'm kinda ambivalent about them doing the whole [Dai Li are corrupt thing again.]
Re: Cartoon Shows
Oh godness, I do remember the original show. I had pity for Courage at the same time but sometimes his fear was going too far. It surely had some creepy plots sometimes. I remember that his best friend was the computer.dartofthedavros wrote:Oops, I had been referring to this one. I think its been announced since February.

I had no idea it was getting a reboot. I guess the fashion is the 3D and remakes.
Talking about CN:
A show I was watching sometimes in my childhood. It was so stupid and yet fun! xD
Re: Cartoon Shows
Cow and Chicken was a masterpiece and so was I.M. Weasel.

Oops? I hope a fellow moderator can merge my post to the correct topic.
Re: Cartoon Shows
To be honest,
I still think Cartoon and Anime topics should become one. Both are form of animation and it would be great to be in one topic. Not to mention that Anime topic is much harder to be found than Cartoon topic so such small mistake is not really big problem.

Re: Cartoon Shows
While I see your point, merging the two threads at present will just create a huge mess. When topics are merged, their posts are sorted by time, which means if the two threads were simultaneously active at any point, you're going to end up having a mish-mash of posts related to two potentially very different conversations.

Re: Cartoon Shows
I've been watching a bit of Rick and Morty after hearing one of my favorite YouTubers has a friend who works on the show. It's pretty good so far, it's not hilarious, but I've gotten good laughs out of it.
Re: Cartoon Shows
You lie. It's pretty hilarious.
Also I say nay to merging this thread with the anime thread. I don't want my western animation to be soiled by that. lel

Re: Cartoon Shows
Ah yes, the new season is shaping up to be the best one so far. I guess it is really early to judge, but they've got a good setup for this season and a lot of good places they can take it. I do feel like they're re-hashing the Dai Li story just a bit, but they're awesome anyway so whatever xDdartofthedavros wrote:Anywho, has anyone seen the lasted Korra episodes? its started off really good so far!

Re: Cartoon Shows
@Bradandez: To me it seems that animes (2010 onward) have been much more interesting than much of which the west has produced lately. I mean Adventure time and Korra are great, as well as Disneys new Mickey shorts but Both regular show and gumball have gone on for waaaaaay to long and have really lost their novelty. CN also canceled Youmg Justice in favor of a crappy Teen Titans and yet another batman. Meanwhile they air shit like Clarance and renew the Powerpiff Girls and Courage, both of which deserve to die in peace! (End Rant)
@Beebo: I guess that is from Aangs quest. Didn't really see much of it.

Re: Cartoon Shows
I like Clarence but its really unfortunate what happen to Skyler Page. It seems A lot of shows on Cartoon Network Rely on "Nostalgic" material and some internet memes for its writing. (Not such a bad thing but does get repetitive.) Anyways I do hope to see some "old" shows getting some time again in the spot light like that new Power Puff Girls Special. But my postpartum ranting aside, any body watch Lupin The 3rd?

Re: Cartoon Shows
Oh boy you do not want to get me started on the fuck ups that big cartoon channels have made in recent years. I could go on a rant, but I will just say that two of my top 5 favourite cartoons have got cancelled in their prime. One of those being the magnificent Young Justice, and the other being Spectacular Spiderman, which just like Young Justice got a shitty replacement. Compared to Spectacular Spiderman, Ultimate Spiderman is a piece of ass. *Sigh* At least we've still got Korra, and they damn well better keep airing it (I know Nick have ordered up to Season 4, which is great I wouldn't want it to go on until it became stale) or I will put the head of whoever makes these stupid decisions on a pike.dartofthedavros wrote:CN also canceled Young Justice

@dart
Puh-lease. I strongly disagree. Clarence is a pretty good show! I have no idea what you find shitty in it. It has a charm and it's really enjoyable. I don't care much for Adventure Time but I can see where the praise is coming from. Regular Show and Gumball I haven't seen much recently but I have caught only one recent episode of RS and I still find it very entertaining. The new Courage the Cowardly Dog looks great and still being made by the same guy, just different dimensions. I have no feeling about the Powerpuff Girls reboot. Nickelodeon is just unwatchable nowadays. Disney Channel is stepping up in its animation department, barely. Wander Over Yonder is coming back with a new season as well. Gravity Falls too, and it looks so God Damn good! The Mickey Mouse shorts are top notch.
Anyways, all I'm trying to say is that Anime and Cartoons have two separate feelings which should not be in one thread. Anime just doesn't fit my satisfaction in animation.

Re: Cartoon Shows
I was mostly watching Cartoon Network years ago just for the Looney Tunes episodes. I stopped watching when they stopped to broadcast them.

Re: Cartoon Shows
Hmm, from the top lot in cartoons, I guess I follow CNs current lot the most, I watch Adventure Time and Regular Show often. From the other groups, Disney has me with Wander over Yonder, and Nick has me with the 2012 TMNT and Korra.

Re: Cartoon Shows
@Brad: True they do give different feelings from the different methods that they tell storys, you can't convince me that anything CN has began airing in the past year is worth watching when there are so much better cartoons from years past. That said, Gravity Falls does look really good and I can't wait for the next sonic tv show. I just hope that since they are rebooting old franchises that they'll keep everything that made them great.

I take it you dont get Boomerang?Haruka wrote:I was mostly watching Cartoon Network years ago just for the Looney Tunes episodes. I stopped watching when they stopped to broadcast them.
Re: Cartoon Shows
Nope, I never had such channel.
Re: Cartoon Shows
Boomerang is amazing nostalgic channel. My house in Montenegro can broadcast it for free, but on my current location it is a paid channel
It has great Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera classics non stop
