Any body here REALLY LOVE THE KIRBY FRANCHISE? And if so what Kirby game do you think they should make a sequel to?

Kirby is my favourite Nintendo franchise besides Smash Bros.

I don't really want a sequel to any particular game. I really just want a fully 3D Kirby platforming adventure.

I think it would work fine if it was structured like Super Mario 64. Focus on exploration rather than the more linear nature of most Kirby levels.

Hmm, Kirby does seem to be one of the more experimentative of Ninty's series, I'd be game for such an idea.

Double posting to deliver some rather interesting news: http://www.kotaku.co.uk/2014/07/06/modd ... rio-kart-8

So, MK8 hacking is beginning to be a thing, no doubt this'll have some interesting effects indeed. I've seen videos of MKWii hacking in the past, some of it was pretty neat, wonder what'll be conjured up this time?

Saw that earlier, and really excited for what might come of it, especially if Nintendo isn't going to support MK8 with more content and adding new features via patch.

I also really hope someone hacks Super Mario 3D World. I'd kill to be able to make custom levels for that game.

Weird considering what they did last year. Still, it's great seeing Nintendo get involved with competitive Smash.

Meh, while I'd like for the Game Boy to be better honoured for its role in the evolution of gaming, it's been what, over 20 years now? I wouldn't get angry over that.

They need to learn and respect the old devices way more.

I'm going to be honest. Listening to the comments makes me feel old. At the same time I felt sadness. I believe that with the variety of technology available to nowadays kids, it kinda contributes for the majority of them not being interested about the history of the industry in the past and consequently not knowing exactly how it is a Game Boy. I think something similar would happen if we were showing a floppy or a VHS.

I bet they would complain because VHS does not have interactive main menu, and would not believe that floppy disks were used in schools.

It's funny because I just played my Game Boy ( and N64) last week and loved it and watching this makes me feel a little sad now, like what was once considered to be really fun is just lame now.

They're kids.

All that needs to be said is that. They shouldn't be expected to know what it is, or to "get" it.

Yes, but they should learn to respect it when they find out what it is.
My bro is kid too, and he respects old systems.

Respect must be earned, and it can't be earned if the kids in question don't understand what it is they are looking at.

I just see it as a notable generation gap that shows how far technology has come. I imagine people who grew up with walkmans acted the same way about ipods.
