I'm really in the mood for discovering a fantastic album I've never heard before. Listening to Kid A or Plastic Beach for the first time, that was some really fucking cool stuff.

Concurred completely. I had that same experience with Plastic Beach, and from Radiohead, In Rainbows. Speaking of which:



In Rainbows to me really is the perfect album, I might go as far as to call it the greatest album I have ever heard. Not that it contains some of my absolute favourite individual songs (which it doesn't as I don't look at them that way, though songs like Reckoner, All I Need, Last Flowers to the Hospital are great on their own), but speaking purely on the basis of a flowing work of art, the notion of an album, it's my favourite.

The first time I ever listened to it was at night as I was falling asleep, I just tossed on In Rainbows, as I was currently running through all the Radiohead albums. It was hypnotic and wonderful, a great journey, and once Reckoner came on, I knew this was solid gold.
