Re: Rayman 2
I like to imagine that Razorbeard was built by someone. In addition to that, maybe it was by a (non-robot) pirate, and once he as a robot outlived his creator, he took over and built his giant robo-pirate army, and moved into space.
Re: Rayman 2
That is pretty awesome theory. I think I am gonna support it
Re: Rayman 2
Yeah that's pretty sweet. Maybe when the original pirate was dying, he built the robot then uploaded his mind into the robot thus allowing him to live on. (If mind transfer is somehow possible in the Rayman universe of course!)

Re: Rayman 2
Haha, awesome. Razorbeard seems to be somewhat more cognitive than the other Pirates, and also has a lust for gold ... remnants of the old soul lingering in his circuits?

Re: Rayman 2
Assuming that lums (or some variant thereof) exist outside of the Glade, mind transfer probably is possible, since the essence of someone's soul is probably just a certain combination of lums.
Re: Rayman 2
I just remembered something, Razorbeard ate a Lum.PluMGMK wrote:Assuming that lums (or some variant thereof) exist outside of the Glade, mind transfer probably is possible, since the essence of someone's soul is probably just a certain combination of lums.

Indeed he did, thereby taking away from the life and harmony of the Glade. Shrooblord wrote a nice long post about lums in the Rayman himself topic a while ago, in which he related this to the notion that the pirates "stole the dreams" of the Glade's people.
Re: Rayman 2
Rayman 2 always struck me as a dark game.

Re: Rayman 2
So I've started to play through Rayman Revolution again. The last time I played it through was with my friend. I'm trying to complete it without getting a 'Game Over'. - I'm not sure how likely that is for me! We'll see! I'm up to the whale bay at the moment.
Re: Rayman 2
I've recently done Rayman 2 on DC and finished it on one playtrough without Game Over, it was really hard at some moments so Good luck with RR!rolesfamily wrote:So I've started to play through Rayman Revolution again. Re: Rayman 2
Ah, one of the generators, eh? I tended to resort to just dodging, you can easily get the Ninja-Pirate to attack the generator itself.

Re: Rayman 2
I never managed that! I just rapid fire'd at it, then ran around and jumped and tried to get one of my rebound shots to hit the ninja. Or just take the hits and hit the ninja early.

Re: Rayman 2
Hey everyone! I have a bit of a problem with Rayman 2 on the N64. After I completed the game, and I see the ending sequence, and I watch the credits, the screen says "THE END" and I can't seem to get past this screen. Also, I'm playing on an actual Nintendo 64, NOT an emulator. If anyone could help, that would be great!
Also, the prison ship, and the final boss are not separate levels, which I thought they might of been

I think you can't do anything now but... have you tried to press all the kind of buttons possible in your controller? If I remember well it will guarantee you access to the Menezis hidden game.

It's not a problem, it's made to be like that. I'm not a big fan of games not saving at the end, but it's how the N64 version is.Rayman3DS wrote:Hey everyone! That game isn't present on the N64 version.Haruka wrote:I think you can't do anything now but... have you tried to press all the kind of buttons possible in your controller? If I remember well it will guarantee you access to the Menezis hidden game.
Re: Rayman 2
OK, I wasn't sure. At least the PC does have got the secret Menezis.

Re: Rayman 2
I recall one time when I was younger, I left the N64's "The End" screen on for three days straight, in addition to trying loads of different button combinations, in hopes it would save or open a minigame like Menezis. It was at that point I finally gave up on thinking that wanting something to be true doesn't make it so!
