So I was looking Rayman 3 HD with Droolie when I saw some files, these are images with text which contains an early Bégoniax + a bird!

Yea, these probably didn't warrant a new topic, but still, very fascinating indeed, to me it looks like they were placeholders for the cutscenes during development. I typed the Begoniax and Bird texts into Google translate (because although it's awful, Google far surpasses my french skills) and this is what it came out with, with a little help from me and the power of online french to english dictionaries, because it refused to translate one word:

I never read the Rayman 3 beta script that surfaced a couple years ago, so I don't know if any of the text here is new or not, but eh, it interested me, hence the real quick, lazy and shoddy translations.

I found a texture showing an image for a minigame named "Space Rush", does anyone knows that? I think it hasn't been used :p
Also, I found a "Toad Crush", but this is probably early name for Crush minigame :p

Here's a description of the pictures (along with the pictures in their original resolution, might be better for the wiki):

In Clearleaf Forest, Rayman and Globox meet a special type of bird called a wooglah. After befriending it, it lets Rayman and Globox fly on its back. Murfy comes with them on their travels!

IMAGE 1: THE WOOGLAH

Rayman and Globox traverse the skies in the direction of the land of the prankster spirits. They fly over the croaking moor, where an unexpected event occurs...

(note that I translated the Land of the Livid Dead and the Bog of Murk differently because the French names are different as well)
The unexpected event is that the Wooglah gets wounded (or poisoned, as Globox talks about an antidote). Murfy points them in the direction of the witch Bégoniax in the moor, whom they ask for help. In return, Bégoniax asks them to find a beauty elixir hidden in the moor.

IMAGE 2: BÉGONIAX AND RAZOFF

And that's how Rayman brought love and peace to the moor. To thank them, the witch and the hunter promised to care for the wooglah, and showed a way to the land.

After three days of walking, our friends finally arrive in the outskirts of the second temple...

This means they presumably arrive in the Land of the Livid Dead. These temples were likely replaced by the doctors later on (how can one possibly like the idea of doctors better than the idea of temples?). It makes sense, given their locations remain the same in the final game. The next doctor, so also the next temple, is located in the Desert of the Knaaren...

IMAGE 3: THE DEADLANDS

After two days of walking, Rayman and Globox arrive in sight of the third temple, lost in the Deadlands...

Like in the final game, they walk trough the Deadlands for a while, and tumble into the ruins of the Knaaren.
The ruins were much like in the final game. You had to make sure the Knaaren didn't see you, and use gongs to distract the Knaaren. The tower with the Knaaren that you can find in the final game was already in the game at this stage, at least according to the beta script.
He gets captured, battles Reflux and gains the power of he Leptys...

IMAGE 4: SON OF THE LEPTYS

Having become son of the Leptys, and strong with is new power, Rayman asks Gumsi, the child king of the Knaaren, for an exit towards the third temple. Gumsi accepts his request, after making Rayman swear to never forget his Knaaren brothers.
Rayman and Globox arrive at last with the temple in sight.

Note that Murfy is still on this picture!
They reach the third temple, but in the meantime...

IMAGE 5: NEW ALLIES

The leader of the black lums succeeded in convincing Reflux to ally with him. He assured that with all of them, they would triumph against Rayman.
Reflux, blinded by his dream of vengeance, stole the scepter from Gumsi and escaped to the den of the black lums on the Isle Beyond the Clouds.
Thanks to the scepter, Refux gave the black Lums the power of the Leptys.

The worst was still to come...

Again, the world name is different, but it's likely mostly the same. The den of the black lums is Hoodlum Headquarters, and it is still located in the Summit Beyond the Clouds. The Tower of the Leptys and the Reflux battle were also mostly the same: with the scepter, Reflux becomes the Leptys itself, and you have to destroy 4 magic fluxes and finally destroying the scepter. Globox rescues Rayman with his ship. The end... I guess.

About the early name for the Summit Beyond The Clouds, it's almost the same in French, you are only replacing 'Summit' by 'Isle'/'Island'.

Those are fantastic findings! Great job, guys!

There are really unseen artworks (pity there aren't high resolution versions of these, maybe one or other could pop up in the L'Histoire de Rayman book?) and they share some good info for the early production article. The picture with Gumsi isn't that rare by the way, it is present in the setup screen of Rayman 3 for PC.

Once more, that's a really nice finding!

So I extracted Korean version (credit to OCG for uploading it, thanks!), I was sure they let one thing although they build the final 4 months after europe&us releases, it's a minor leap, but this may help for models :p

That bird was seen before in that very same website, but what it was extracted from the R3HD game is quite a novelty.
