Game database

Post by Haruka »

In this topic you can have access to several Rayman games released since 1995. The goal of it is to give an easier access of the games to the Rayman fans, regardless if they are veteran or not. They will be split into generation categories which are represented by the main games. They also include spin-offs that are correspondent to their own eras. The database will be updated as soon as there's something new to share. Feel free to report any issue you might find in the links!

VERY IMPORTANT: Please do not share any of the links outside of the forum. They are only for private use for the community members. Remember above all, this is not a topic to feed and/or to promote piracy so make sure you own the original game copies (if not, go to eBay/retail shop/any digital shop and buy a copy to show your support for Ubisoft and its franchise!).

Is it mainly to help people whom original physical versions of the games are corrupted/damaged?

I mean, if it is not for this specific purpose, the one of this thread is not completely clear for me.

It can work out as temporary replacements or even backups for people that already own the original games but don't want to use them.

Its a really great idea but, you don't think UbiSoft or its affiliates will report you or RPC for Piracy? (Despite this being in the community)

People need to stop with this paranoid thoughts of corporations shutting down sites and such. Nothing will happen.

Nice thread btw Haruka, I am mostly looking forward to download games which are abandonware and no longer in production. I will always support new games by buying them.

You have got a point, it is too risky. I guess it is better to lock the topic. Afterall when it comes about demos, there is other topic for such ending.

Sorry for the mess.

I think for that case, only the abandonware titles and demos should be shared (Like the R1 era games for PC). I don't know what the staff thinks because it is since a good while since the last time we talked about game sharing.

The point given by DandyGuy is, sadly, a bit accurate.

Emshomar surely knows a bit about verification process as he was able to make his version of Rayman 1 check if you have bought the game on GOG.com for example. But in this case, we shouldtake a look at the way we could check that people own games from Dreamcast/PS1. Hmm, too many variables, Mordin says...

Yeah, Rayman Emulation thread is there to help Rayman players in case they can't dump their own ROMS. Of course they should own original games. Thats what I like about RPC a lot.

@Haruka
I shared Japanese Rayman Revolution and Korean Rayman 3 and staff didn't mind it ;)
@Sae
It's not accurate at all and it is the biggest exaggeration I seen.

That's true, I wasn't remembering that by the way. Good that you pointed that. There's really no reason for this topic to exist.

Origins and Legends have tons of pirated links on web and nobody done anything about it. You also gave Sonic Retro as an example which is another proof companies don't care. They would lose too much time if they did.

What about PC games? They can't be shared on Emulation thread. This topic should be for PC and spin-offs

Its not an exaggeration but just some what of a disclaimer. Anyways I seriously doubt they will doing for the 1995s titles or 1999s titles as for Origins and Legends they might step in and do something about it. But im still not to sure do to the fact Sonic Retro has tons of Sonic titles and Sega doesn't seem to care.

You're not the only one, I think we've all noticed that something is up here with posting. I've already made mention of it to the other mods, so hopefully something can be done in due time.

Something is happening and posts are not on correct way. I keep getting some errors. I swear I am not double posting on purpuse.

That Net Neutrality thing is mostly in US and since you are from US, I can understand your concern however Ubisoft and this website has nothing to do with US so I don't think Net Neutrality can affect this thread. I am gonna contribute links here too :D
