You should play R2 too and then compare them. Or look it up, but I doubt that'll go well.

R2: R=Rayman 2: Revolution. A PS2 game with enhanced stuff from Rayman 2: The Great Escape. I guess all I can do is like Jona said...compare R2: TGE and R2: R.

More levels? I didn't think so, you can get only 800 lums in it.

But some diffrent locations; Have you ever seen this in Rayman 2 maybe?
I know what you will say, the Echoing caves. But have you ever seen this room in the echoing caves in R2? I think not.

That, indeed, doesn't look like anything that exists in the normal Echoing Caves. It seems to be in the first part, where you have to activate the four switches to open the door. Looks incredibly weird...

I got it today! One thing I noticed, is there isn't a Hall of Doors. And underwater you use air bubbles to breathe instead of Blue Lums. There's much more, but the levels are the same in design.

I heard there are many differences, so I doubt the level design is the same. It's probably similar, though.

Yes, it is similar. Instead of a Hall of Doors, you explore several places to go to the levels themselves (although, they don't leave you clueless). In R2: TGE, wasn't there a Yellow Lum and Cage icon? Now it's Yellow Lum and Familiar Spirits. Collecting 10 Familiar Spirits (once again, not cluelessly wondering when you get 10) will unlock a bonus level that you must see Ly for. And there are much stronger pirates. Like the ones that require 10-15 hits to destroy them, while they have rocket launchers that they constantly fire. Those rocket launchers can cost a good bit of energy, too. Plus, they lock-on. So there are stronger pirates. Along with more tunes while fighting them. There is a Magic Well where you get powers. The Stone Circle is where you revisit levels. There's a guy named Bzzit (very resembling to Moskito from Rayman 1) who is trapped in The Bayou and leads you to the Lost Island (Sanctuary of Water and Ice) for the first mask. Yes, a lot. And a lot more.
