I don't know if you already talked about it (seems that you don't, according to my research), this morning I found a video on my Facebook feed and... well, just watch it (English sub):

Wait, you must be +16! :P

Although I lived in Japan, I'm not really into Manga/Anime culture and I don't know a damn thing about it (no, not even hentai), therefor, is this kind of anime common or this is really really strange?

Actually I don't know if this is amazing 'cause I kind laughed my a*s sometimes and it made me feel uncomfortable at the same time.
Those chicks are 15yo, srl WTF?

Oh jesus plastic nee-chan.

It's not weird for living in Japan and not knowing anything about anime/manga, it's quite refereshing from the hordes of weebs and otaku's in my opinion.

Personally I wouldn't care for Japan without all their merchandise and commercialism.

After watching this chinese piece of art, none:

Joking aside, I only watch classic Anime like Tatsunoko ones, Dragon Ball, Digimon (ONLY first series, rest sucks) from modern ones, I watch One Piece, Death Note, FMA, FMA: B, and I prefer in general similar to those. As a child, I also loved watching Ahiru No Quack if you can count that as Anime since it is half Japanese, half Dutch. I still need to find all episodes of it somewhere online.

This is exactly my opinion. People tend to think Japan is a country where everybody does cosplay, eat sushi while throwing shuriken at giant squid with tentacules.
I recently talked with one of my friend/ex-colleague who told me she saw a TV program about Japan Expo in Paris and we discussed about all the weird stereotypes this kind of even are bringing to people who doesn't check out more than what they see. I was kind of ashamed. To put it straight, among my friends in Japan (from Senior High School to colleagues), I know no otaku/moe-fans and kawaii shit.

Well this is the weirdest video I saw for quite a long time.

I also really hate how most people think Japan is otaku wonderland whilst in reality Japan isn't all that great, I've heard stuff about it, pretty bad stuff. Japanese people are generally very non-accepting to foreigners.

You should watch the 2011 adaption of Hunter X Hunter, it's really amazing, it's ongoing too, I'd say it's my second favorite anime next to Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood.

People need to know that word Otaku is insult in Japan.
In many cases, people will dislike you if you are too annoying about Anime and stuff.
But many of "bad stuff" about Japan you mention is also way too much based on stereotypes.

I usually like to wait for Anime to end and then watch the episodes but I might give a look at it sooner or later.

I think this topic is good enough to share my thoughts on hentai seeing as how Raylex brought it up (also Jeff, don't double post dude)

Why are people so ridiculously afraid of hentai? I always see a lot of people on deviantart so anti-hentai. "EWWW TENTACLES, EWWW" Sure, drawing hentai isn't for everyone, I respect that. If I knew how to draw however, I'd love to draw hentai for one reason. I find it an incredibly interesting fascinating form of art. People frown upon it so often, it's just art. And it really is a very interesting form of it. The one problem I have with many hentai's though is often the really predictable plots. I like hentai's that do shit differently and really screwed up ones, like Bible Black. No it isn't a fetish of mine but I just find it very fascinating.

Yes, Shadman, I'm well aware of the dude, and I really do enjoy his artwork, but some of his artwork is pretty fucked up. However I still like his artwork, hell, he did the backgrounds for the Rayman Legends flash animation. Also I know Jeff is Amber on facebook so I always get confused with the crossdressing 'n stuff, my bad.

I'm still working on my double posting issues, I get it right sometimes. Also I want to change my name on here so call me Amber instead, I'd prefer that a lot more.

Uhh, I have no issues with hentai a lot, it's just porn but drawings, as long as people don't completely forget about real life people and just focus on drawings, I'm cool with it.
I actually think sex is a very interesting to talk about, I obviously won't here but I wish people were more mature about it instead of say something like ''EWWW'' to something that they're not used to.

I am neither for or against hentai. It's not something I would go and Google, but if for example I was searching to download some Anime and advertisement for hentai popped up (many times this actually happenes no matter that I do not search hentai to download but regular Anime), I would not be afraid of course :P
I certanly don't think it is evil or that people who draw it are sick maniacs. In other words, I am neutral to it.
