Hmm, any game that I'm familiar with would be fine. I 'm always up for something new too. I just wanna socialize with people here while playing games.
Re: Off Topic
Which game would you propose then? If you want do do some commentaries, ask for some, people will see if they can or not.Bradandez wrote:Hmm, any game that I'm familiar with would be fine. I 'm always up for something new too. I just wanna socialize with people here while playing games.

Re: Off Topic
I'd love to do commentaries with you, Brad. A few games I play:
League of Legends, Minecraft, Command and Conquer, Risk of Rain -- I'm just listing some of which I know there exist online multiplayer capabilities.
But I'm willing to try out something else, always!
(Just give me three weeks, when I'm back in Holland.)

Re: Off Topic
Well I don't really have those games on me right now, Shroobie. Maybe in the future I can get them.
I'm mostly into platformers and TF2. I am open to any other games, but I'll need a better computer since mine is wearing out already. :c
Hey! Only sexy face 'round here will be mine and mine only.
Also this brings up something, OCG let me be a guest commentator when you do the Neverhood/Skullmonkeys Let's Play, please!

Thanks AdAdsolution wrote:Your PMs don't get deleted, by default it puts your new messages 'on hold' until you've cleared some of your inbox out. I've probably cleared out my inbox completely about six times.
and no, that isn't a euphemism! As much as he wishes.

Oooh, Risk of Rain. That there is a mighty fine game, gotta say.Shrooblord wrote:A few games I play:

Also, I am totally up for some dual commentary as well Brad, if you're interested. I've got a truckload of games to choose from, so I'm sure there's going to be something we both happen to own. But yeah, totally up for doing a thing with anyone here who's willing, and stuff. Send me a PM or something.

That's funny, I don't recall changing any settings, and yet my oldest message always gets booted out automatically when a new one comes in.Adsolution wrote:Your PMs don't get deleted, by default it puts your new messages 'on hold' until you've cleared some of your inbox out. Re: Off Topic
Anyone have an opinion on either of these fuckers? I'm especially interested in the first one.

Re: Off Topic
Did you look at the specs? There are almost no differences between both, except for non critical stuff (like a case for the second one).
I mean, I guess you can choose by yourself, because I can't really tell which one should be the best as there aren't many differences...

Re: Off Topic
It seems as though the first headset uses different, better drivers than the second, though I'll double-check.
Re: Off Topic
Personnally, I don't consider drivers to be an important aspect of a headset when I'm buying one.

Re: Off Topic
I'm hoping for a headset that can double as actual headphones, hence why I care a lot about sound quality. In fact, that would likely be their main purpose, and was originally looking at normal headphones, but I simply thought a microphone might come in handy for streaming.
Re: Off Topic
Sometimes, buying Headseat and microphone separately is a better idea for streaming. But is sound quality heavily dependant on drivers?technology4617 wrote:I'm hoping for a headset that can double as actual headphones, hence why I care a lot about sound quality. Re: Off Topic
Are we talking about the same sort of "drivers?" I'm talking about speaker transducers.
It seems like they both have the same drivers since the specs are identical, but that the G4me Zero seems to have better noise isolation, so it still seems like the better pick.
However, like you said, it might be better to just go for headphones like the HD598s and a separate mic, though that would be a lot less convenient.

These look uncomfortable as fuck.technology4617 wrote:http://en-us.sennheiser.com/g4me-zero
I own a pair of these - they're nice, very comfortable and the mic has great quality. Unfortunately, while the headphones are good for gaming, they are the absolute furthest thing from actually being remotely balanced. They are designed solely for gaming, music sounds like shit through them.technology4617 wrote:http://en-us.sennheiser.com/gaming-head ... al-edition
I'd go for the HD 558/598. <- These, for note, are open and have little to no noise isolation. In my opinion though, noise isolation on desktop headphones is nearly useless - what noise are you trying to cancel out?
Re: Off Topic
While I'm not an expert in the technical specs of headphones, if I am allowed to suggest a model for you guys I can recommend the one I bought for myself around 4 or 5 years and still works like a charm. Funny enough I'm using them right now:

My headphones are from Plantronics, and their model is the Gamecom 367. They cost me around 40,00€ at the time and they give a good sound without noise, it covers a bit the exterior noise, it has got some "pillows" for the top of the head and the ears for a confortable wearing, the lenght of the headphones can be adjusted to fit better to your head (although I don't need it!), it has got a microphone that can be brought down through rotation (You have got a slidding button to turn it on/off in the wire too) and it includes a volume wheel in the wire for an easier adjustment. It works just fine for either gaming, music or even for basic tasking in the computer like searching stuff on YouTube. I really have nothing else to complain about it so this is a suggestion I can make.
By the way, today it makes 6 years that I've subscribed to this forum.

Re: Off Topic
While we are talking about that, I also bought very recently a new headset and I just received my very first microphone. Due to the fact that I'm in the US right now and that I have some money, I thought "hey, why not?" Anyway my previous on-ear headset broke a few weeks ago.
Here they are :
My headset is an on-ear one created by Monsters (model MH NTU ON P-GY WW). Information here : http://www.monsterproducts.com/productd ... p?pin=7347
I wanted to avoid buying something too expensive like a beats by Dre, and I also got some bad returns about these ones, So I focused on a middle-range on-ear headset. I still have some trouble with this one as it's hurting a bit my head if I keep it for a long period of time, but it was already happening with the previous one, which wasn't for the same company: I guess I always have problems with on-ear headsets, as I'm wearing glasses.
For the microphone, it's a very classic middle-range one, as it is a Blue yeti-microphone. At least I won't have problems with my Skype anymore, because when you buy a good laptop, you are still waiting for a good quality in the integrated microphone. Guess what? You can surprisingly be wrong, as my integrated micro is the worst ever for a laptop worth $1400 :/.
