There's little they can do about it now unfortunately. We'll have to wait until the next generation to see what hardware they're gonna stick in their console.

I just can't believe people are saying they'd rather not see Nintendo third party, that's ridiculous in my opinion.

They are just too used to "Nintendo being Nintendo-only" because it's the closest to the "no third-party" when compared to Microsoft and Sony, and that's what a lot of people like about Nintendo, its "particularity" the others don't have. :?

Sae said it right!
However I just want to clarify again that I am NOT 100% against third party titles but I already think the important ones (with some exceptions sadly) are on Wii U already. Nintendo fans don't need their system flooded with M rated shooters and such. Nintendo fans want Nintendo to succeed on their own way with their own games.
Still, third party games such as Bayonetta 2 are getting my support of course so I just want others to know that I am not fanboy who wants no third party at all, but I think Nintendo already offers good third party choices based on what kind of games their audience prefer.

Ah, Bayonetta...
Is there a port for PC or something? I would like to play it, as this type of game is very appealing to me, but I don't have a Wii or a Wii U :<.

Maybe when I get a job, I will buy it.

Bayonetta 2 is coming exclusively to Wii U, so that isn't third party. And Bayonetta 1 is not on PC, it's on PS3 and 360, but I totally recommend you get the game, it is amazing. And of course, Nintendo doesn't need M rated shooters to fill up it's library, but when I refer to third party, that doesn't mean "M rated shooters" what about indie games such as Castle Crashers, or any of that type of stuff.

Just because I say third party doesn't mean I refer to M rated shooters only for christs sake. Just because shitty companies like EA, that milk out shooters yearly doesn't mean that's what I refer to. I can't believe you think it's a good thing for Nintendo to stay first party. I want to see Nintendo succeed and what difference would it make if Nintendo did go third party? Nintendo would still be Nintendo. MANY incredible games coming out are skipping the Wii U, Kingdom Hearts 3 anyone? And as someone who likely won't get a PS4 for a LONG time, this disappoints me. And you guys are really missing the point. It isn't a good thing for Nintendo to keep away from third party, because we're going to be missing out a lot of great games like Final Fantasy XIV and such because of it. Games that are far from crappy shooters. I feel really bad for the indie devs who haven't published there games on it but want to, they just don't want to spend an unnecessary amount of time developing for the gamepad.

As a long time Nintendo fan, I really feel more third party is best for Nintendo. There are MANY other games out there that the Wii U are missing out on aside from the shooter genre. And you might be taking this as I hate the Wii U, but truthfully I love it, I'm really excited for Smash Bros, and I can't wait for Bayonetta 2, but I'm getting sick of people saying "Nintendo doesn't need third party to succeed." When I think quite the opposite, the Wii U is selling poorly for a good reason. And the 3DS has sold well for good reason. 3DS had variety with games like Resident Evil Revelations, Metal Gear Solid 3D, games you'd find on other handhelds/consoles...

Like I said Wii U is a good console with flaws, hell, majority of Wii U games that could use online don't have it. Sure you have Mario Kart 8, but what the fuck is up with Super Mario 3D World? That game would be incredible with online, and what about the upcoming Hyrule Warriors? That game won't be having online either. It's 2014, come on Nintendo.

I only want to see Nintendo focus on 3rd party more because I want to see them live. I want to see Nintendo the choice of many people's platform. Sure, there are many Nintendo fans who would buy the Wii U for the sake of the awesome exclusives but many gamers aren't like us who game on multiple platforms and just want to stick soley to one platform.

A reason why the Wii U isn't as powerful as the Xbax Uno or the PS4 is because it's cheaper to make, therefore it's cheaper for the consumers. Look at the Wii. It wasn't HD and it still kick the Xbax 360 and PS3 in sales.

Rayfist's sentiment echoes my predicament. I don't have the luxury of multiple choice, I usually only end up with one console per gen, and as much as I'd love to own a Wii U, I know full well I'd miss out on other things I like.

Indeed the Wii did destroy the PS3 and 360 in sales. The problem is a lot of the gamers who grew up with Wii have grown tiresome of all the shovelware and wanted to go for the other consoles. The Wii and Wii U are both good so please don't think I'm hating, but I'm just saying I found both consoles to be flawed and I'm not gonna fanboy them when the reasons for the Wii U selling poorly are quite obvious.

Let's face it, while the Wii had some awesome games, it was filled to the brim with a lot of shovelware titles, hence why the Wii sold so well, it was a VERY casual friendly system at the time. Nintendo was likely expecting the Wii U to end up the same route against the PS4/XB1, but that ended up not working out for them. I really do miss the Nintendo we had in the SNES and Gamecube era, they focused on not only themselves but getting some awesome third party games with EXCLUSIVE features, such as Link being in Soul Calibur II. Wish we saw this more often with Nintendo. I really felt the Wii was when Nintendo was starting to lose itself, hell, some Wii games looked Graphically a little WORSE than Gamecube titles.

My opinion is, Nintendo doesn't need to cater to any sort of audience, that's ridiculous and ignorant to think that Nintendo shouldn't have other gamers in mind. Nintendo should cater to EVERYONE, and that's what they lack. I love a lot of the games Wii U has to offer, but I'm fully aware they aren't for everyone, and that's very understandable. Not everyone wants to play yet another new Mario, a lot of people are looking for something new.

What exactly is wrong with increasing the console's library? It's just more games.

Yeah, Kingdom Hearts III, Final Fantasy XV, and Metal Gear Solid V, such generic shooters.

It may not be a whole lot, but these 3 big titles I'm REALLY excited for I won't be able to play because Wii U is my only current gen console. I'll get a PS4 someday just to play them, but it's sad that not a single one of these is coming to Wii U. :tssk:

So basically we know that someone managed to make a map editor on RL (in working), the same guy make a challenge loader with random seeds and all!

Ah yes, I remember someone else shared a video of the WIP editor a while back. So they're now able to generate challenge levels, eh?

this and BG&E2 will be the reason I purchase a PS4. I wish nintendo's hardware was better, because I really want to play Zelda U along with other titles once I move out of the house.

Because of the inferior hardware. Yet another game adding to my reason why the lack of third party on Wii U is a BAD thing.

Ancel was just on stage to announce Wild, his new game for PS4 with Wild Sheep Studios. It's 3D, open world and the big feature is that you can play as any human and any creature in the world. It's apparently PS4 exclusive. I'll post a link when the footage is uploaded separately.

Oh, that's a nice concept: so basically you can play any NPC present in the game :o?

Innovation. :D
