Here's something humorous related to getting the best score to cheer you up:

And also the URL because I, personally, cannot see embedded videos here and I remember it was a problem with other people in the past:

Ah, that Green Gem. In all the years I've played Rayman 3, I've only nabbed it once. Bugger that bloody gem.

I got it once years ago on my first playthrough. Once I saw it I just kept trying for it until I got it, then never revisited the level ever again until now.

Congratulations on your improvements guys!

It took me almost a week to get this damned Green Gem in SBTC... you can imagine how good my mood was during that week. :P

By the way, if you're interested in it, those are the "Developers' Scores":

FC: 20.821
CF: 44.501
BOM: 25.901
LOTLD: 58.001
DOTK: 55.501
LS: 26.901
SBTC: 26.701
HH: 43.701
TOTL: 48.001

I don't think I'm going to stop until I beat the highest PC score, honestly. Help me.
Good luck with FC... I'll promise you that it's gonna be difficult to get 30k there the first few times you play it. By the way, I'm pretty sure that MG as well as Cut, who both play on PC, have well over 870k Points... good luck on that as well. :D

I think someone earlier on in this thread referred to the jump you need to pull off for it as "the perfect jump".
And that's exactly what it is. You take off even one pixel off target, you're screwed. Just let Globox get ahead of you and restart the whole damn sequence again.
Or just reload and restart so you can combo on the off-chance that you get it.

I'm pretty sure you can get it if you DON'T jump off the ledge, that way Rayman will jump just high enough forward to reach the green jewel. You'll still have to aim right though. It worked for me at least. ;)

I actually find that bit of the game quite hard as it is. Let alone replaying it a million times! haha.

Thanks Rayrobi, I might try it if I'm feeling brave enough hahha

You know what I never understood about that level?
They protect a Slapdash and a cage with hoodoos.
If you attack fast enough, you can just break the cage and kill the slapdash without having to kill the hoodoos.
Probably also applies to other enemies, but I think this is the only time in the game where things that go down in one hit are protected.
Really annoying when you're trying to get the best score, because then you lose out on 260 points per hoodoo, and if you do some combo magic that's even more points lost. Fortunately, the game saves right before that area, but still.

Hahah I always thought it was quite funny. That's the most bad-ass Slapdash in the game. DON'T MESS. Yeah the cage didn't really make much sense to me either. Well it serves you right for trying to do fancy combos!! ;) ;)

A late congratulations to Maz from me as well. That puts you way above me in the list now.

By the way, I've been browsing your Youtube videos and they're really interesting. I notice you made one for the Grim Keeper/Matuvu/green gem combo in Hh part 1... I wonder how many people have now made a video for that combo. Cc, myself, you, M&M, perhaps sfn? I definitely remember it being one of the most fun to play.

Roles, have you made any further improvements?

Thanks for asking Xenon! I've just been having another go at the Clearleaf Forest and I thought I was having a really good run! But I only ended up scoring like another 200 on my original :( 59k and something

Thanks! :)

I've seen quite a few videos on that already, but I put playlists of the important Combos for whole levels on my channel, and uploaded said video for the sake of the HH-Playlist being complete.

Even if it's just 200 Points a try, you'll get there eventually. ;)

What levels are you going to improve on next?

Thanks :) I'm sure you're familiar with that feeling of thinking you're on a really good run, and then either not scoring more then your highest or just a little bit over ;P

I'm going to do a bit of research on TBOM and TLOTLIVID(I always thought it was LIVING)D.. but if I don't find any techniques I like I might go back to TDOTK.

Just run around and collect gems like mad.
That's how I do it.

TLOTLD shouldn't be too difficult for you. In part 1 especially you can pick up a lot of points from pretty basic combo sequences. Ignore the solution and try the level by yourself, connecting as many gems and Hoodlums as you can and using the power ups. Also, try to get the green gem in part 2 with the TC. A thousand points here and a thousand points there will soon add up!

Indeed. If you could just manage to get the Green Gem in Part 1 for 6.000 or 9.000, and the one in Part 2 for 3.000 in Combo, that would already be a lot of Points. Also, make sure that you don't forget the secret in the Doctor's Office, since that alone is already worth 20.000+ Points. With a bit of practise, you'll surely get near 100k one day. :)
