For sometime you guys been asking why I haven't started actual development on the game. I have yet to learn how to animate and I have yet learned how to code. I am very sorry, I've been dealing with trying to find a job and learning to drive. I've also now started college and that's been a real pain in the ass. So all I've been doing right now is re-writing the whole story to "ELEM, JEENS, & ELI" and so far I'm loving it! I've also began on redesigning the First Three Worlds and redesigning enemies, while adding and cutting some. I hope I can start production on this game soon. I really hope. This game is just gonna fucking deliver and hopefully blows people's minds. Stay strong members and fellow supporters.
Presenting the New and Revamped Enemies of Totem Vista Village!
Behold these fearsome foes!
Weak Links: The Evil Trio's Minions. Not the best of minions, but they can get the job done... sorta.
- Cyclopedes: These little fellas don't pose much of a threat. Make sure not to jump on them or else you'll be sorry!
- Nuts-N-Dolts: Poor things only move side to side and aren't really durable. Just don't let them touch you or you're in for a shock.
- Skulltergeists: These little ghosts follow you wherever you go. Light makes them go away but be sure to get rid of the skull!
- Bumble Frogs: Watch out! This frog is very poisonous! Don't touch it! Only way to defeat it is with an attack that includes you not coming in contact!
- Coon Bats: A shy creature who minds its own business. You should let it be or else!
- Arachno Dipteras: Oh Yeldarb! This pest is scary! It latches onto you and drains your life! Make sure to do a dash attack to get it off!
- Ferolf: A menacing predator despite its small size. It will pounce on you and will show you no mercy! Try fooling it!
- Beaver Bears: The dumbest of them all! But it has a brute force and can obliterate you in seconds! CANNOT BE KILLED!
- Salmon Sharks: These are small fish with huge mouths and have a enormous craving for hero flesh! WILL EAT YOU WHOLE!
- Ms. Acecaceaes: This living palm tree is one to be reckon with! Watch your back!
- Diamond Drillers: These living hazards cannot be stop and don't you even try to do so!
- Stone Heads: A big dumb living boulder. It can take a few hits before crumbling. But be warned!
- Lil' Rockos: The offspring that spawn from Stone Heads! They're a bit jumpy.
- Farmer Harmers: I hate these! Augh! Just get rid of them! They're no use!
- Pitchdork: The females are just as bad! They'll stab you whether you're near or far! They can be unarmed though.
- Ambush Assassin: This hunter loves to collect heroes as trophies. She will trap you and will use firearms! Beware, let your guard down and can one-hit kill you!
- Kahuna Masks: The male, possessed natives who can be equipped with spears or poison darts!
- Ana Ana Masks: The female, possessed natives who have strong shields and can't be defeated until they let their guard down.
Thank you! Crash does indeed have some of the best continuing story lines in video games and I hope EJE does too!saerleiya wrote:Great intro!
That looks like a Crash Bandicoot intro: evil masterplan popping out of nowhere for the unlucky villains, and right after our heroes resting on the beach.
But still, I loved it.
The Bradinomicon was just a place holder. There's a far more sinister book out there and it has yet to be revealed.Shrooblord wrote:Yeah, it definitely captures the right kind of humour the Crash series is going for. And the evil villain blimp too!
Can't wait to see it in action. ;D
EDIT:
And it seems there is some feedback to give! Here goes.
First of all, the setting and the atmosphere seem great. It makes for a good intro. The 'Bradinomicon', though cute, seems a bit narcisistic though. I'd think of another name if I were you. I love the part where both the book and the top hat get thrown out of the window. It makes for the whole first part to be almost useless ("why did this just happen if they were never going to use the top hat or book in the game anyway?"), but adds such humour that it can't possibly be omitted.
The part with Sinzliki is alright, but seems a bit elaborate. The Evil Trio shouldn't have to explain themselves to the new character; they'd be explaining the exact thing the player just saw. That's unnecessary. Think of another way that Sinzliki gets to know what they're up to and aids them (also, probably because spoilers, but what is Sinzliki's stake in this? Why does he help the trio just like that?).
Just some minor notes, except that Sinzliki part. If you strengthen that part up a little, your story will be all the more solid and fun for it.
Good intro - I like your style.
Also that book and hat aren't all that useless
I guess I can fix up Sinzliki's introduction. I thought since he's a character who wasn't there, should at least have some explanation. This may be a problem in the story as it progresses since there will be a lot of characters. Sinzliki is the one of the Universe's Most Evil Beings out there and the Worlds of Whimsical Domains is more than just a planet he'd like to rule. It's a personal mission to make this planet suffer but it won't be revealed in this game.
But thank you for your very long, but helpful criticism!
