how the fuck do you guys take your braces off ; - ; mine are like glued to my fucking mouth like no backsies

okay it's d-day tomorrow and apparently i have ALL THE CLASSES dear god someone help me (on the bright side our bus is double decker o v o)

my dad has since launched into his usual Things That You Can't Wear To College Because I Think They're Slutty; A Novel By A Fifty Three Year Old Misogynist and i'm just like. k dad. w/e. i'll wear what i want. we have a dress code*, i'll stick to it, etc.

*it's not like american schools or anything. i think the only rule is no strapless tops (which is good bc they never stay on me anyway. they all want to be skirts.) and skirts w/out leggings have to be at least down to your knees. guys aren't allowed to sag their pants more like THANK YOU BABY JESUS.

(also we have a meme wall in graphics class but that's irrelevant)

Yeah so I rip out the metal because it's fucking frustrating and once in a while I put it back in. Just be sure to buy some extra crafting glue. Orthodontist does all this fancyprancing around with it being 'special stuff' but in reality it's just the same sticky slime you put in your model airplanes, lol. Just go by a convenience store, show them your torn out braces, point to your teeth and they'll know where to send you to pick some up.

I used to have braces like you have currently, but after two years, my teeth had been set right and they could be removed. Then they gave me some night braces that are basically just there to keep the teeth in check were they to wander around again. It's pretty much just slightly keeping them in place until they lock into their final positions around 21/25-ish (can't remember which it was now). You'll probably get some too after you're done with your hard-fixed braces. They're just additional safety measure - to not make all those years and the ortho's hard work for naught because teeth like to wander around anyway because fk you that's why.

I remember when I got my fixed braces - The first two weeks were awful and I thought I would never be able to eat again... I'm glad I got over with that @.@

Well, my brother refuses to wear his ones. But we now know that even those won't save him for an operation he will have to get through :/

I have canines growing sideways, so I was slated to go under the knife myself. Then I decided, why the hell should I? The chance of this actually being a problem is too small for me to care.

Meh, I can't believe it's been two years since I've had mine taken out now. Of course, the next thing for me are wisdom teeth, two have already erupted, and a third is on its way. Luckily, they're not causing any problems.

Jeez, teeth are horrible when you think about all the stuff you have to do to keep them.

They're pretty excellent considering what they can withstand throughout your life, though.
