Only boring people get bored.

+ reworking some Henchman modelling after some tips from a friend. Turning out great!
- Can't access my older Cubase files all of a sudden. The program crashes on file load, but not with my most recent projects. Still trying out things like switching audio drivers to see if that resolves the issue...

+ So, it seems like I'll be doing an art piece for Remi Gazel for his music project. We've started communicating through email today and I cannot wait to get started!
- Other than that, been doing nothing all day.

+ Getting a shitload done today. Rayman's on-ground mechanics are complete, which includes me having figured out how to program the analogue stick to control his orientation and speed, moving relative to the camera; he even has a progressive rotation to the direction pressed. Now it's time to figure out how to program gravity and his in-air mechanics without it making zero sense the way it performs in the field despite the code seeming to make perfect sense.

+ My room's changed from being horribly messy to being clean and pristine for the first time in about half a year. That took about twelve hours!

Woah, so long :waaahhh: . I'm not a cleaning maniac personnally, but tyding up my room usually takes thirty minutes or maybe two hours at worst (if I'm not packing everything of course, but I'm pretty mobile due to my studies :P).

+ Visited Montréal today. Went to Mont Royal, then the old city and the old port. Stopped to eat somewhere close to the city building, then I went back home, sent emails, and informated myself about the last news around League Of Legends (S4 World Championship starting in 10 days, and the grand finals will take place in the finals stadium of the 2002 Soccer World Cup. Three years ago, there were 200 people attending the live of the S1 Finals. Jeez'...).

+ A member of my family quickly answered my email and told me he will be organizing a barbecue tomorrow at his place with 15 other family members. The timing couldn't be as better as this.

- I want to make a movie out of my Pax PRIME footage, but I need to finish the others first. XD.

I have to clean out my room every weekend to keep it all in place. It's Monday and already most of what I organised is all over the place again.

+ I think I've managed to climb out of one of my lesser periods again. I'm also managing to get shit done a little faster so I'm actually able to spend my evenings on myself again.

+ After tons of emailing and waiting, I've at last managed to replace the class I wanted to get out of. Art is pretty decent, and I'll be able to take AP Art History if I complete this class, so hopefully that can become one of the five AP credits I want to get before leaving high school. The teacher is also a super cool guy, and much to my surprise we have a fully identical taste in music and he plays it out loud during the entire class. :P

+/- So far, school has been somewhat okay. I'm getting used to my classes, and I'm definitely keeping up with good grades and homework a lot better this year, but anxiety is still a bitch.

- My friend & I are having a bit of an odd period right now. He's always been kind of that person who thinks really highly of themselves and that everyone is below them, but since school started it's seriously getting on my nerves. I'm starting to feel like he's viewing me in that way as well now, and seeing how I already have a brother who secretly thinks I'm a fucking idiot I don't really want to put up with this.

- The Polyfauna app doesn't work on my Galaxy Player.

But do you have tons and tons of musical cables and otherwise in need of storing somewhere despite having no closet to cram them all into? :P

Awesome! Did they fix that strange model bug, then, finally? Or did you find another way around?
Oh, and could you maybe show me what's the matter with the gravity in secret? Maybe I can give you some pointers.

Nope, but I have stuff I don't know where to store. Especially a 24"x36" poster I haven't bought a frame for yet (it is in France right now). Ad' should buy a rack for them cables, no?

Still awake at 6 AM, you dummy? Stop posting and go to bed, holidays are over :p.

+ Want to go to sleep now so I can have a good rest, which hadn't happened in the last past weeks. Wanting to go to bed at midnight, that's quite unusual for me nowadays.

Ever since I came back from Vancouver, I've looked at people I meet in life in a different way. Seeing so many relaxed people hanging out together, not minding each other and being generally friendly towards each other's existence, how people treat each other back here in Holland disgust me. They are rude, noisy, bossy and impatient and it's starting to make me wriggle inside my skin. People don't give each other the space to live their lives around here and everyone has to know everything about anyone because they need to meddle in everyone else's lives, as if they have some authority on the matter. People criticise each other to ceaseless ends and they are never satisfied, ever. There's always something wrong.

And the worst part? People can't even muster the kindness to return a friendly hello or a smile to a stranger. I get but one smile on a lucky day!

Basically, I'm experiencing heartbreak over the people of Canada. And I know not everyone around here is like what I described, but the sad but true point of the matter is, that the majority is. To put it in other words, I know now that I have to get out.
I have to find a place whereI can surround myself with people I enjoy spending time with, who are not the egotistical shits the everyday person on the streets here is.

And I know how I sound. It's terrible! I'm degrading my own people and I hate feeling this way, but being emerged in such a relaxed culture, such a culture of people like - well - me, has opened my eyes.

And true, once you get to know a lot of these people, they're quite alright. Hell, some of my favourite people in this world are Dutchies. But still, the way that most of the public treats its fellow citizen is apalling.

As a result, I guess my mind's gone into some kind of identity crisis which is giving me sleeping problems. I'll probably ease back into my normal patterns sooner or later, but maybe I'll never be able to tolerate Dutch people as I have in the past. Sure, I won't outright be nasty to them, of course not, but there may always remain a stain of disappointment in my mind when I observe how they treat each other and myself.
So the two years-thing is basically when I finish my study and have a possibility of moving abroad.

+ The plus-side of all of this is that it's made me like my student unions even more; everyone there is just the way that everyone else here isn't. I'll be going out more as a result and having a fun time with people that actually know how to treat each other like human beings and not trash ready to be thrown out with the rest of the waste.
+ I would not have given up my trip to Vancouver for the world. This was not only a revelation that's changed me, but one that's bettered me. I know now that there are more people like me, people who care, people who are interested, people who have decency towards strangers. I just know I have to find them elsewhere in the world.
+ But most of all, the vacation has allowed me to meet up with Adsolution, one of the most inspiring people I've met yet.
Brah, we better meet up again in the future or yo'ass is toast! ;D

+ Getting all of that off my chest is relieving.
- Getting all of that off my chest has made me realise even more how serious the situation is.
+ None of my Dutch friends seem to exhibit this sickening behaviour, which is, I guess, why I liked them so much that I wanted to become friends with them. ;)

Ah, the identity crisis...
Canadians are known for being very friendly towards other people. Most Americans are too, but in a more formal way. What you say about the Dutch makes me think about some French people too. Believe me: there are dumb people everywhere, and most of the time if you are kind, you won't have anything in return for your kindness because many people won't give a damn about it.
I actually like to spend time with foreign people because I barely know their own culture. But it doesn't mean my people are bad, it's just that I've spent so much time living in the same place that it's way easier to see the defaults of living there. Like we say in French, "weed is always more green on the other side of the fence".

Hashtag the dream. Hopefully it will happen some day :).

I've also been feeling like shit for days back when I didn't know if I wanted to finish my studies and continue to work in engineering. So I know the feeling "finish my studies and then move my ass to do what I want". Great idea that is, Shroobie.

+ Maybe Shrooblord can sleep now.

Very true, saer, and I do realise this, of course, that I'm viewing my brief visit to Canada through rose-tinted spectacles. Still, my first impressions of the people and the atmosphere we stayed at - that's the kind of environment I want to find later on in my life. And I'm pretty sure I won't be able to find that here in Holland, however relaxed people treat each other here in principle, what with all the legalities and respect and such, people are still brash and unfair towards each other. But maybe that's just human nature. Maybe I was born to be a sunflower instead. P:

In other news, tonight I had 2 hours of sleep, then I came home and slept for another 4 during the afternoon. Looks like it may just be my rhythm that's completely out of whack and not a psychological issue I'm having with the country I live in. However, this doesn't make my feelings untrue.

But now - to channel that frustration and disappointment into creativity! ;D
Thanks saerleiya.

I would say it's sill related to your mindset, as i'm also concerned by strange schedules if I'm not in a good mood (Girlfriend left yesterday? Well, your daylife will be a mess for the next week XD). Personal problems can have their effects on your body. In that case, I would advise you to consider it and seek for the problem. That's a good clue something's not going well somewhere in your head :).

You are not the only one to channel all these issues into creativity and imagination. I spend my time dreaming about other worlds while listening to music if I'm not feeling okay.
