Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
Thanks for the code, Raypist! <3
I initially found the control rather awkward, but once I got used to it, it felt great. I've had no problems with my circle pad, I'm not too forceful with it.

No problem.
I think the awkwardness of the controls must come from the fact that we have large hands and playing on a normal 3DS, lol.

I didn't know Ad had a 3DS.

It's because they force you to use Tap Jump in the demo (jumping by pressing Up on the Circle Pad). Makes doing Up Tilts really awkward (you will either do an Up Smash by accident, or jump and do an Up Air attack, in most cases). It also limits your options in the air, as it means you have to use your second jump when trying to do Up Aerials or Up Specials, if you still have your second jump.Rayfist wrote:So is there something wrong with my circle pad? When trying to do up A moves I head into a charge attack. Like trying to do a shoryuken with Megaman is a really odd task when it shouldn't be.
You will be able to fix this in the full game by turning off Tap Jump in the control options.
As for the controls in general, they are really good, though nothing beats the GC controller for Smash, IMO. I am kinda concerned about how the Gaur Plains stage will be like on 3DS, though.

Yeah, I found that funny. The video makes way too big a deal about it though. They immediately said they will be patching it so it will be fixed for the international release. Until the patch comes out, people will just have to avoid using Peach in For Glory.
And he shouldn't be blaming Nintendo when they are just the publishers, it's Bandai Namco who develops the game, so it's their responsibility to iron out bugs. Hyrule Warriors also had some pretty questionable bugs on release, being developed by Koei Tecmo, which have already been patched in Japan and will be day one patches internationally.

Hey, got my 3DS back. Anyone mind having an extra code to Gove to little ol' me? :3

Didn't someone already give you a code earlier in the topic?

Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
He probably sold it for wurstdian money.
Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
Dandy gave him but SonicBrawler used the code instead. Well he didn't use it for himself but for friend. Dandy has more codes if I remember correct thoughRayfist wrote:Didn't someone already give you a code earlier in the topic?

As OCG stated, SonicBrawler took it.Rayfist wrote:Didn't someone already give you a code earlier in the topic?

Damn that sucks, sorry Brad. Pretty sure a worldwide demo is released today so you can check the eshop if you wish
Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
Worldwide demo has only 30 tries for play and then it doesn't work anymore sadly.

I'm sure Brad won't play the demo 30 times and he will likely have the game around that time.
Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
I could. Though, I wouldn't be that mad if brawler (who I may now refer to "butthole" or "bunghole" from here on out) used it for himself, but he gave it away to somebody else. That really tasseled my tangerines.

Yeah it was a tad rude, that's why it's best to send through pm

Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
I only gave it to someone else (the person who got me mine) because you apparently didn't have a 3DS on hand at the time, and Dandy was teasing you about whether or not the code was real anyway, so I myself didn't know whether or not it was real. If I didn't use it, someone else would have (hence I suggested people send them via PM earlier in the topic), and I thought he said he had more, so I sent that one to someone else, it worked (proving Dandy's codes were real), and then said that anyone who had a spare should give one to you specifically.Bradandez wrote:I could. You honestly couldn't have expected a code for one of these demos, sitting there on a public forum, to not be used by anyone while you wait to get your 3DS. So my logic was "well at least if I make use of it rather than one of the many random people that were scouring the entire internet for one, I can at least own up and explain my situation, rather than making it a total bitter mystery, and can then specifically put out an open invitation for someone to save one for Brad and give it to him when he gets his 3DS".
I owed someone a favour and thought I'd pay them back while I had a chance (because again, if I didn't use the code Dandy posted, somebody else would have, RPC member or not, before you got your 3DS), and figured you would be able to get another. I'm sincerely sorry the latter thing didn't happen, but it's not like the wait between you getting your 3DS and the public demo releasing is a big one anyway, at this point. And I assure you, unless you are deeply interested in the competitive Smash Bros scene like myself, or you REALLY have nothing else to do, you won't play the thing 30 times (and if you do get heavily invested in it and risk running out of uses, you can exploit Sleep Mode). The demo is incredibly bare bones in terms of it's content and is the smallest taste of what the full game will be like.

Bare bones? You get five playable characters, that's pretty damn friendly for a demo honestly.

Re: Rayman (kinda) confirmed for Smash Bros.
It was still a horribly selfish, borderline sociopathic thing to do, and "anyone could have taken it" isn't an excuse. Clearly no one had taken it yet, and it's possible that no one else would have been enough of a dick so as to actually do that. Additionally, if you felt that sending it through PM was so important, you could have asked any moderator or Dandy to remove it from his post and to have it re-sent to Brad through PM, which you clearly didn't have the integrity to do.
Jesus fucking Christ Sonicbrawler, you never cease to amaze me.
