Hopefully it will be more like the early days and not like Metru Nui. I wonder if Greg will write more stories too, and I wonder if new video game will be announced. I have yet to play Bionicle game that is not mediocre and I wish for one.

I still have the collection I menaged to gather, even some repeated ones. I guess they are relics now knowing the huge popularity that these had at the time where Pokémon was a worldwide fever.

I agree, Metru-Nui is where things started going downhill. Thats why maybe Reboot with original Toas would not be such bad idea.

Same thing here (and I believe it was the same situation for most of the earliest audience). I loved the original trilogy, and I still have a good collection of those eras. I believe that stuff started to become real cash-in from Metru Nui onwards. I even remember to read in the Bionicle Sector's wiki that the least favourite character of the author of the storyline were the Vahki.

I take the chance to do some publicity to the Metru Nui collection I'm trying to sell to anyone who's interested: either for the whole lot or for individual figures. All toys are in mint/very good condition, owning their correspondent pieces, manuals, panflets and boxes. I need to release some space from my bedroom so I am willing to sell these. Now that's debatable. The story of the franchise is really complex in a way that only the older audience can fully enjoy it. And in my opinion LEGOs are for all ages. There are communites of builders all over the world that are adults that still like to collect figures and do their own constructions.

I actually stopped to collect the figures mostly because I was starting to dislike the toys designs, not managing to buy all the collections in time and because I was getting more lost in the storyline. I was also earning a growing interest towards console gaming and not just centered in PC gaming so I had to decide between keeping collecting these or giving up and starting to collect videogames.

The LEGO BIONICLE toys were some of my most important childhood toys. I have lots of happy memories of playing with them and trying to imagine side-stories with the characters. Shame it started to go downhill after the third year.

I still remember the joy of opening my first Bionicle set - Tahu, and then collecting the remaining 5 Toa, and inputting the codes on their masks into the Bionicle software that I got with some magazine.

I agree that LEGO can be for all ages. I for one had a great time building a set of Tower Bridge a couple of years ago, and I still buy sets from time to time. I only meant that as I grew older I was no longer able to play with them as I once had. I suppose children possess greater imaginations than adults, or at least are better at suspension of disbelief.

Whatever it is, I won't be able to pick up Tahu again and spend an afternoon creating an epic adventure for him as I once was able to, and it's a shame, but adulthood brings its own advantages in creativity and that is the silver lining.

Hmm, interesting. By the time I was old enough to have an interest in Bionicle, the Metru Nui saga had passed, I believe I started following it with the Voya Nui saga.

Now then, with the return of Bionicle, I now only need to hope Lego brings back Exo-Force.

I used to make giant transformer mechs out of all my Bionicles. They'd all conjoin to create this massive robot with like four chests and eight arms and masks in all kinds of weird places. Fun times...
